I believed it all except Jesus not having a beard & him coming invisably in 1914- But when they corrected their error & said Jesus DID have a beard- I got baptised in 1963-I thought if they correct their errors they must have truth-so I still didnt believe in 1914.
Then after over 20 years service- they said "You must believe Jesus came in 1914-or your Not a JW-"( WT April 1st 1986 pg 31 "Questions From Readers")They DF me 1987-Then I read C.ofC.Met other Ex JW -found they had more love & unconditional love -I didnt have to believe as they did

Ozzie's Weekend Poll
by ozziepost inwell, it's sunday and we've done reading the sunday papers, so thought it might be nice to poll the worldwide community on some important issues.
no, it's not meant to be fluff, i'm serious in inviting opinions from exdubs in many places, so please respond.
this week i've chosen the question especially for the large worldwide da/df community: what is the main reason for you not wanting to return?.

my story
by spender inhey everyone...i'm new here and i thought i'd give you my story.. i was raised in "the truth".
my mother is still a witness of over 25 years, and a pioneer for over 10. my father is not in the truth.
he was supportive of my mother in her pioneering and everything, and he used to come to meetings occasionally when i was younger, but started coming less and less until he only came to the memorials.

by openminded inyou are driving along on a wild and stormy night.
you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people huddled on a bench, waiting for the bus: .
1. an old woman who looks as if she is dying.

((( Flower))) I read your post -So glad your still here. One of the young Mothers in our group took an overdose two days ago.She studied
with the JW-believed it all- was devastated when she relized it was not the truth. She is married to a man who was going to leave her if she remained a JW. Has two kids one 14 the other 12. She feels so guilty at Christmas, birthdays, Mothers day, Even though she relized they dont have the love they profess,But you see what it does to folks. She is pulling through. But now her husband tells me He is considering divorce- if she doesnt relize it is stupid- He has never been a JW( not a believer in anything religiously)Only those who have been there done that understands .I think someone may read your post
who was also thinking like you. I read some of my old diaries too, I was always talking of how I failed-If Jah would forgive me. Boy talk
about the blind leading the blind Thank GOD we have the blinders off.
You know my feelings about you darling- The gift God gave in that little boy to you is a gift indeed. Love ya. Grace -

As Christians, do you cry?
by misty inthis keeps happening to me, and i want to know if i need to seek professional help?
is this normal?
since i da'd, i became a christian, and now everytime i go into hearfelt prayer or even worse, the couple of times i actually went to "an apostate" church and sing songs of praise, i start bawling like a baby.
-
mouthy
Yes Misty -I do it too. One time to of us ( both ex) went to church on rememberance day & they played the national Anthem-& we both broke dow. Everyone looked at us like we were?????
I believe as JW we suppressed out emotions.
