Read your post & I am so sorry-They are like a dog with a bone.They cannot let up.But if it is any consolation- They really do think they are doing the will of God.My Jehovahs Witness daughter e-mailed me to make sure I knew what day it was- I was "ousted "in 1987- I just e-mailed her back & said Yes I am going to my memorial as Jesus asked us to do. But since I am one of the ALL- I will be partaking. Jesus said ALL of you !!!!Then I chatted about family things that are going on. Kept it light.They must have new light about speaking to "evil slaves" So many are getting calls from family they have not heard from in years. Any one Know? Come on you JWs - It is great to see your listening to Jesus - who told us Love covers a multitude of sin.

most of us consider ourselves happier since leaving the organization.

Great discussion- For my part I was a happy JW.( I thought) Going door to door-having people come to Jehovah( 10 of them)I thought it was GREAT to be used by God.But after they kicked me out-I went through a terrible depression-thinking it was GOD who ousted me.
Then I went to a convention of Ex J.Ws - was shocked to see how happy they were! NO GUILT! It really confused me. Then I have to say Jesus knocked on MY door.I have never been at peace as I am now.I have things go wrong in my life-yet through them all-I have that inner peace-knowing Jesus paid it all...All I have to do is Love God first- & Do unto others as I like them to do for me.I have more caring friends now -who love me with unconditional love.... -

Joan Cetnar had John at her convention about 4 years ago .At Witnesses Now For Jesus. On stage was David Reed, Joan Cetnar Lorie Macgregor & I forgot who else. It was Great- Also peeople in the audience came up to the mike & asked questions.
I am telling you guys if you dont get to PA ( her convention) your missing a great deal....It is wonderful!!!!

The Toronto paper put a BIG picture of me standing in front of a K Hall- with the heading " Fighting with Jehovahs Witnesses" You guys in Toronto must have seen it. ( I am the chief apostate up here in Ontario (the WT loves me.)....roltfl
Also I wrote an article to the Brooklyn paper - they also published it. (telling what the WT does to folk. I must say all you children didnt follow the rules as to what the Watchtower taught us

i didn't know either of them but they had a nice smile and were dressed in the proper attire.
the invitation was a little less quality than usual, and said, "printed in the usa".

Dan I know just what your feeling- When they kicked me out( cos I didnt believe Jesus came invisably in 1914) I too had suicide thoughts. But I suggest you do as someone else suggested ( I forgot who)I did go visit other churches each week. You will see lots you dont agree with.But I do like the saying "Dont look for a perfect Church because the minit I go to it -yes! it is imperfect cos I,m there)One of them sang Happy Birthday to some one in the cong: another church had some kids do some magic act( little kids)another had a big set of Nut crackers on the alter- & all the kids ( about 50 of them went up with banks in the shape of nuts- & cracked them open- the money rolled all over the alter( the money was to help the poor)
I left thinking "Oh there is no where to go" Hey! you know what?That is a true statement - It is to Christ you should go..He has teachings of life.I do still go to differant churches& have made so many friends who love me UNconditionally- hang in bud-It gets better.I am happier now than I have ever been & I,m 74 yrs young....Love ya. -

This is a really good one....
by Inquiry inhey all..... i recently heard the funniest prank..... a neighbour of mine came over, with a beer i might add.... nice fellow... and during conversation found out that i used to be a witness... he was asking me questions and then he got this funny smirk on his face... i thought it was something i said, so i asked him what i did.... he started laughing and said he was just remembering what he and a friend did about three years ago around christmas time..... i had been out of the borg for over a year at that point.... apparently, these two pranksters... of course whilst drinking deeply of the barley and hops laden waters of life.... went to a canadian tire, bought $75 worth of christmas lights (about $5 usd...lol) and in the wee hours of a sunday morning... put them up around my old kh and lit them up for all to see when they came in for the 10 am meeting..... i asked around and apparently it's true!

My daughter tells me- when we were In the Borg she used to stand outsaide the houses with the lights,& pray to Jah that he would let her have some- then she would cry at night because she had asked for something she KNEW( because they told her)it was an evil wish...
You should see her home at Christmas!!! Lit up like you would never believe- lights, Santas, Sleighs filled with parcels etc: she has sure made up for passed losses. -

Rumors that they spread about you. When you left.
by jerome infor some time now i have been reading numerous indivisual life stories relating to their experience with the jws and one obscure ( or at least not directly elabourated upon) detail keeps popping up.. it would appear that whenever a person leaves the organisation by da/df/ia that people take it upon themselves to start spreading "nasty rumours" about the person in question.. it always seems that so much of these said rumours that were frabicated and then propagated throught the local jw community that the poaster almost never seems to have time to goint any detail about what exactaly was said about them in detail.. i would like to invite the posters here on the board to shed some light on their experience regarding their reputation after leaving the kh.. it would appear that once disfelloshipped that the jw community must make it abundantly clear that the person is of absolutely deplorable character inorder to justify their inhumane treatment of the df'ed indivisual.
saying that there is no honourable way to leave the oragnisation this seems to be rather common place.. i am also informed that even if the df'ed person were permitted to return that their reputation within the jw community would never be the same due to the tarnishing of their name and the stigma attached to being df'ed.. i may not be entirely too shure about this one but it would seem that if while still in good standing should the indvisual to become "publicly reproved" or "marked" that this would also be an invitation for the local jw community to begin the same process of defaming the character of the person in question.. would anyone care to discuss your personall experience relating to any private information which became public knowledge after you left the jw community or any half truths that were deileberately propagated to tarnish your name in the vacinity of the kh.
and even worse yet blant lies that were imagined and promoted about you inorder to permanatently damage your character.. i would also be interested in who exactly you think were responsible for the iniation of these rumours.. was it the elders?
