Creation: The big and the small of it

more than any time in history respect and the awe of god has seriously eroded .

man has taken creation for granted and have allowed themselves to believe that no intelligence was required in the making of the universe.

random impersonal forces they delude themselves could have caused all we see in the universe.

I believe God created the physical world to mirror the condition the spiritual world was in when he began creating the physical things. Good and Bad.

For instance: cute little doggie = Good/Domestic mirrors Good/Angel. Big bad wolf = Bad/Wild/ mirrors Bad/Demon.

No one can deny if God created everything, He PURPOSELY created a world filled with good and bad.

How bout those blood sucking parasitic ticks? Hmmm. Image and likeness of Bad spirits?

Good. Bad. Good. Bad...God creates BAD and calls it GOOD? Yup. Mosquitoes GOOD? They bite, they suck, they itch they SPREAD CONTAMINATION. Hmmm. Image and likeness of Bad spirits? Me thinks so.

If you don't mind me asking,how do you know this?Also,what version of creationism do you subscribe to?

Are you a young earth,or are you an old earth creationist?

Here is a piece.It looks very tasty.

Apple Crumble Pie
Fruits, Pies
10 Servings

1 Prepared pie shell
1/4 c Unsalted butter
4 c Green apples; thinly sliced
(peeled before slicing)
1/2 c Sugar
2 tb Lemon juice
1/8 ts Ground mace
1/2 tb Cornstarch
1 c Cookie crumbs
1/4 c Melted butter
2 tb Brown sugar

PREHEAT OVEN TO 400F. Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat
on top of the stove. Add the apples, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Remove
the cover and add the sugar, juice, mace and cornstarch. Cook another
minute, stirring, remove from the heat and set aside. Meanwhile, place
prepared pie shell in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. While the pie shell
is baking, combine cookie crumbs, melted butter and sugar and mix well.
Remove pie shell from the oven and add the cooked apple mixture. Sprinkle
the cookie crumble over the apples and replace in the oven for another 20
minutes. Cool the pie to room temperature before serving.

The congregation witch hunt!

has anyone ever studied the salem witch hunts and trails.

what i found interesting about these, is how people who claimed to be peaceful, could get so riled up, that they were willing to kill people.

the spark that lit the fire was often a rumor or false accusations that got out of hand, or perhaps a misunderstanding on a issue or people thinking they saw something they didn't.

obviously, all of the main characters are pretty good (my favourite main character is homer, dohhh!

so for the simpsons fans here, who is your favourite secondary character?.

They were called the Movementarians.That's a favorite of mine too.

the history channel had a spt.

11 show on last night, and most of it was the same ol' same ol'---but something did catch my attention.. video was being shown of people evacuating lower manhattan, and the brooklyn bridge was filled to capacity with people.. the voice over says, "people fled every way they could--they streamed across the bridge to brooklyn.".

now, i'm wondering, if you had just left ground zero and you were one of the ones runningon the bridge--and you saw a big sign that said--.

Maybe they thought that the big dirt nap was about to hit all those bad,bad worldly people.They'd pull down the blinds,ignore the screams and praise their good fortune.

Demon questions

if demons hang out on websites waiting for unwitting jws to download them when they go to that particular website, do they travel faster over highspeed lines vs phone lines?.

are demons capped at a 56k transfer rate over a phone line?

virus - help

i got an e-mail this morning, that said there is a virus problem, and since they had my address, i could be affected.

they then gave me 7 steps to follow to fix this, has anyone ever had this problem?.

they also said it could affect anyone who i have contact with through e-mail.. i do not know what to do.

There are parts of your computer that will cause it to stop working properly,if removed.Hoaxes will try to get the user to disable their own pc.

Here's a virus encyclopaedia.It's not perfect,but it does have most of the latest viruses out there.It also has information on a lot of the hoaxes going around.If they named the virus,put the name in and you might be able to find out if it's real or not.

Regardless,I would also suggest you not do the removing,unless the information is from a source you know.

Tallyman's gallery of the grotesque

hi.i'm kind of new here,although i have been lurking for a while,and i was wondering if anyone knew where a site called the gallery of the grotesque went.it was a site that had a bunch of armegeddon pictures from different watchtower publications.. .

a picture really is worth a thousand words,and i've printed out and used those more than once,not only to prove to witnesses that,yes,everyone but them will die at armegeddon,according to their own publications,but to show non witnesses quickly and effectively how much hate they peddle about the outside world.. .

now the site's not there,and i was wondering if it was moved,or if there was another,similar one out there.. .

I love all of his older stuff for the corny humor,and how his characters never took themselves seriously.That's the thing I like best about Jacky Chan movies.The humor.

Snake and Crane Arts of the Shaolin is a favorite for old school kung fu action.Jacky beats up the Wu Tang Clan :D

Of course I also enjoy the jaw dropping stunts in his later movies,as well.

What if the JW's lost 1/2 of their followers?

in my humbly opinion, the wts is afraid of loosing their uncommissioned & unsalaried "sales people".

the numbers haven't been realy rising except in economically disadvantaged countires, edc, also known as 3rd world countires.

the countries that report jw growth are the same ones that also report growth of the aids epidemic.

I don't think they'd care,insofar as it would be a setback to their goal of getting more members,and that it would make the remaining ones question.

From what I've seen,they really are only concerned with making sure that the members currently in the org,stay loyal to the org.Doctrine is secondary,and only important in that members accept the current meaning as "the truth".

In it's essence,it's nothing more than a nasty meme that's only concerned with survival.Hence the continuing assault on free thought,disfellowshipping(to limit exposure to those who do break free), and the constant defensive articles and policy switches,trying to "shore up" areas where they can be questioned,subsequently allowing people to break free of said meme.

I firmly believe that if the entire orginization did a complete overhaul of their belief system,the most important aspect would be not whether the new beliefs were correct,but making sure that the remaining members stay loyal to the org,no matter what.Looking back,JW's of today are quite different in what they believe,than JW's of a hundred years ago.They are even different than JW's a decade ago,but regardless of the time period,they were all equally convinced the governing body was absolutely correct.

Oh,btw,hi :) I've lurked for a while,but I haven't actually posted.Great board you have here.
