Simon, she isn't really mad. She sends me real
threatening emails, and then laughs her guts out.
We are good buddies, so it's all in fun.
Hmmm pictures.
by popular demand, i am yielding to pressure, to tell a story about our very own veniceit.. in march, venice and her parents were visiting us here in washington state, and we all had dinner at our daughter's home one evening.
(my daughter posts here as princess) princess's son, 4 years old, was quite taken with venice and was showing her around the house.
he was going up the stairs ahead of her, and turned around, face first at her rather, ummm, er, ample?

Okay, here it is.
Remy is a baby boy, about a month old at the time (8 months old now) and Venice was holding him. He was STARING at her chest, which is about 20 times bigger than the chest he was used to. She was getting embarrassed because a couple of us gals were noticing that he just stared. Finally he dived bombed her and started slurping madly on her skin.....just for few seconds. It was hysterical. There were about 15 people there, but only two or three saw it, including Remy's Mom, who joined in the laughter.
it seems like to me the majority of people who are in the truth, are were in the truth was a result of either a family member are a friend witnessing to them and not many seem to have been found in the door to door work.. from my years of associating with the borg i cannot recall many coming in the truth from the door to door work.. how were you sucked in?
for me it was my aunt who has now even though i am not disfellowshipped decided to write me out of her will to the tune of about $150,000.00 (maybe i should hang around a couple more years)dont think i will.. please respond .
thanks.
My parents were baptized in 1950. I was 5. Neighbors were studying, and Mom was pretty religion oriented, so Mom and Dad studied too. Everyone, including the neighbors became dubs. Then Mom preached to the whole extended family, and everyone, but one aunt and her kids also came in. Now Mom is still in, but Dad isn't. My brother, who was an elder, was the first to quit, in 1978.
i would really appreiate it if anyone knows of a blow by blow comparison that has been done with the new world translation, and the interliner!!!.
do you have any documents, websites whatever.
thank you sooo much.. ven.
hahahahahaha......your Mom will tell me to go ahead. Your Dad will be embarrassed, and explain it all. Hahahahaha. Kind of like Danny is.

Hi Wendy, Remy is a baby who just "loved it" when Venice held him. He is the son of mutual friends of ours and was about a month old at the time of this 'event'.
I may have to tell this story, under another thread to be sure it gets read.
Don't worry about Venice, she will get even, and is trying all the time. Did you see the red eyes and Dracula teeth she put on Princess and me?!!!
And believe me, she doesn't need a wonderbra!!
this friday the elders are coming over to discuss my da letter.
i keep studying and thinking of what i want to say.
i'm sure they'll open with a prayer.
I suggest you give up on trying to help them. The emotional toll that will take, isn't worth it. They won't listen. They can't.

Ah, Venice. To know you, is to try and embarrass you. I'm thinking of posting the Remy story. Princess is egging me on. hahahhahahahhaha
just a quick update for those of you who have wondered how things are going with my dad.. he finally got his ventricular drain out and came out of icu yesterday....woooo hooooooo!!!!.
we are headed out to the hospital tonight to see him and i can't wait to see him sitting up!
after three weeks that will be a welcome sight.. my mil is also steadily improving.
Great news, Essie!! I thought of you all the time. We are having similar challenges here, but one is out of the woods now (my future daughter in law, works in a hospital lab, and was exposed to encephalitis, from a bad spinal tap....splashing fluids.....she had a rough go for two weeks). Two more family members are terminal, and one of them also has Alzheimer's.
But, this is the way life goes, when you know you actually will grow old and die. We have to face death, and serious illness, square in the face, more and more, the older we get.
.
your caption please!.
englishman.. ..... fanaticism masquerading beneath a cloak of reasoned logic.
"Thank you, God, that we are here drinking with our friends, and enjoying ourselves, instead of sitting in the boring District Convention."
any one here get that sinking feeling when you were an active jw?
i'm not talking about the point where we developed doubts about the borg, but just the shear weight of responsibility on your shoulders to uphold "god's kingdom" ala wts.. the topic of doing all you can was brought up frequently.
some would try to sooth by saying "as long as you're doing your best, jehovah will accept you.
Even the Proclaimers book will convict them, though. My son in law read it!! I'm sure they didn't expect many to actually sit down and READ it. But, he did. And then he read it again. Then he told our daughter "we will no longer allow these people to control our lives." And they walked away.
