  DF'd 4 smoking........feel unworthy;yet....

  i was df'd 6 months ago for smoking cigarettes.

  i really reached out for help but had a hard time breaking the habit.

  maybe i should have been disfellowshipped, according to why it is done.

  If you want to make friends, you can. You can join a club, go to church, or invite co-workers to lunch or a drink after work.

  You can't lose friends "in an instant." They were not your friends if they will ditch you so quickly, not because of their own principles, but in order to stay in the good graces of the tyrants they bow to.

  it seems to me that most persons fall into 1 of 3 categories:.

  1. the well-balanced person who is a good achiever and enjoys the fruitage of his labours.

  Very good Summary, Englishman. I was in category 2 in my young years, with a smattering of characteristics from category 3. I have been working on myself for 20+ years and am now much more in category 1.

  I was once "counseled" for wearing a really cute hat to the Kingdom Hall. That was back when I was still cute as well.

  Maybe JW women are going to be able to choose their own clothing for the pleasing effect from now own. NOT!!

  apostate gathering in Las Vegas very important!!!

  dung beetle has been in touch with me.... we need to know how many to plan for.... this has to do with trying to find an area that is free possibally even having those living in las vegas making the main meal the those who are out of towners buy deli salids and so forth.. it can happen but please let's get this organized to a degree it will come off smoothly.. if it is just a gaming thing then it is a gaming thing...but if it is a serious gathering to meet and associate then that is another thing which i am interested in.. dan

  Where Are We At Precisely?

  can anyone define clearly where exactly we are at in our various campaigning activities against the wtbts from an overall sociological perspective?.

  is it the case, that presently under current tactics, we are not doing all that we could be doing to get the society to change their direction upon certain key issues?

  i'm not knocking the worthwhile jobs that many are doing, i'm just questioning the effectiveness of current rating of status quo.. what more could we be doing as a body of campaigners?

  I have informed some of my friends and co-workers about some of the things I have learned here. They will pass along the word to their other associates. They will be asking local witnesses who knock on their door such questions as, "Aren't you the people who harbor child molestors?" or "Can you explain why Laree Slack is dead?" or "Why do you come knocking on my door but won't speak to me on the internet?"

  I have also offered to speak in their respective churches. No takers, so far.

  When I retire (about 5 more years, I hope) I might become more activist.

  Welcome! It's wonderful that you have escaped at such a young age, when you still have time to make the right choices to have a fulfilling life.

  I can sympathize with the stuff about your family. My mother always hated me. Now she's so sick and desperate that she can't even remember that she hates me. It's very sad. Sometimes I think I should remind her, but she'd just forget again.
