  Seriously, we do have questions. I am still looking for ANY & ALL references on PARENTAL AUTHORITY PAST THE AGE OF MAJORITY, as taught/controlled from WTS mythology. My Old Man believes that BS.

  The lightest of us has our serious moments and the serious SHOULD have lite moments. You are balanced and can do both. You are a valauble individual from that standpoint.

  .... that would easily cover a quarter on my wall.

  now, i don't mind the arachnid critters outside, but when they cross that boundary into my home, they're fair game.

  if they are camped out on my window sill outside, i'll even name them - but not in my bedroom.

  A few years ago Dragon lady let out a blood-curdling scream. I thought she was being killed. I met her on the way in from the back yard. She pointed outdoors, said "its out there & its coming" and dashed into the bedroom. I went into the backyard and discovered a poor, red-brown Woolly Bear Caterpillar had trudged his way halfway across the back yard. I arranged for him to move into the neighbors yard.

  I have since become the executioner for Tomato Hornworms.

  my jw niece called me last night on the phone.

  she is having a pampered chef party (for those of you who don't know what these are, it's like a tupperware party except they cook a meal and sell the cooking stuff).

  it is going to be at my jw sister's house and all the dubs will be there....including my "best" friend who ratted me out to my sister regarding us celebrating christmas last year.. i am not invited....but my niece would like me to buy some stuff and to make up for shunning me she is offering to give me her hostess discount....woohoo huh?.

  She PAYS you to take it!!! Nothing less is acceptable.

  When that doesn't work, use scooter's suggestion and get it elsewhere.

  Tinker, I moved almost 3000 miles, but they can still find you. JW's were "networking" BEFORE THE TERM WAS INVENTED!!! (I've had a recent breakthrough in this, but I had to get mean and threaten legal action.)

  Anyway, you are right: TOXIC FAMILY. I've got a book somewher about that...

  WORST PRESENTATION I'VE EVER SEEN

  (i wrote this during the week, but saturday morning is the most appropriate time for it.

  coming back from the holiday, i was running about an hour late into work.

  i noticed a girl hovering around the bus stop as the bus approached my first stop.

  Coming back from the holiday, I was running about an hour late into work. I noticed a girl hovering around the bus stop as the bus approached my first stop. Thinking no more of it, I got off the bus and walked briskly towards the corner, to make a transfer.

  Suddenly an arm thrust a Watchtower and Awake almost into my face. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the girl that I had seen before the bus stopped.

  "Do you want these?" the voice said.

  I just kept walking, faster now, as I was late anyway.

  Is that how they do it now? What's next, just tie the magazines to a brick and throw them?!?

  Theocratic Warfare, Virus Style

  it seems someone is not happy that i've put the kingdom ministry up on my site:.

  http://jsefton.users1.50megs.com/kmscans.htm, and is sending me viruses.

  not only that, they seem to be sending the virus out with my email address as the return address (i got one that seems to have bounced - unless that was just a clever ruse to get me to open the attachment).

  I've been getting them sporadically for over a week. Our MIS/IT/IS crew at work has been on heightened alert for about two months. They have "locked out" emails such as Hotmail & Yahoo from our servers. There is a particularly bad "infection" "make the rounds".

  Thing is, the last batch I received had FAMILIAR ADDRESSES in it. Somebody on JWD has been clobbered really bad and the virus got their address book. And I just got an Email from Dutchie. It got her. She is on a borrowed computer.

  This thing is still spreading, so do what SYN suggested.

  Do get rid of Outlook Express. The "Corporate/Industrial Strength" Outlook will stop these by allowing Anti-Virus Software to filter your email. I have heard more than one MIS guy/SysAdmin curse Outlook Express. Use something else to run your Email.

  BTW, if it says "screen-saver for you, enjoy" or has an "intimate" greeting from some stranger, DON'T OPEN IT. Frankly, the safest is DON'T OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS!!!

  last night, i returned from the chess club with my son to find my wife on the phone.

  apparently the congregation secretary had phoned to get our time.

  not wanting to disappoint him, she put us both down for two hours.. now, none of us have stepped foot in a kingdom hall since april 10, and we haven't been out in service since march/01.

  i work in a business that sometimes has teenagers purchasing or renting items from us.

  when they do so, we have to have a parent or legal guardian make the arrangements or sign any binding agreements.

  if we didn't, nothing would be worth the paper it was written on, as people under 18 can not enter into a legal arrangement on their own.. .

  Happy Man, there is a principle or "legal doctrine" called Ratification. It means that you IMPLY Consent to a matter by NOT DISAGREEING.

  (For instance, your credit card rate in 2002 is 15%; you get a Notice in October 2002 that it will go to 20% in 2003. You can cancel your card, no problem. If you retain the card AND use it even once in 2003, you have agreed to those terms. That is a Ratification.)

  So, if you stayed on after the CHANGE OF THE QUESTIONS, and actively participated, that agreement Ratified the Specific Policy Changes IMPLICITLY. It is not necesary for you to be re-baptized or to be EXPLICITLY asked of you would like to re-new your VOWS!!!

  Those who left in, say 1975, NEVER RATIFIED the NEW JW's!!!!!!!!!!!!
