i went down to the local 7/11 a few miles from my house to by some 7/11 stuff.

as i was standing at the counter i glanced out at my car to see a little cheerleader wannabe girl leaning against it.

she was drinking a slushy type drink talking to her bubble gum little chicky buddies in her mom's new lincoln navigator next to my car.

That's just plain stupid. 40 or 50 times should be sufficient.

Too cheap to spring for new batteries for the remote? I guess that is what a few divorces can do to ya.

what do you think would happenif every x-jw showed up for a sunday meeting,with just a bible{any version you like}and a smiling face.everyone acted as if the borg had no control over them.i'm not saying be disrespectful,you just smile,and act as if you aren't under the societies authority.no literature,no rhetoric,just peace and humility.. .

that would make a statement!

It would be great watching them try to ignore/shun the mass of XJW's packing their hall. Everyone could raise their hands at the WTS and give them the REAL answers!

And there would be plenty of people to talk to for the xjw's if they all showed up at once. This is really giving me a funny mental picture here. The jws looking worried, and trying to shun while the xjws are talking amongst themselves.

If you weren't causing any real problems there wouldn't be a need for them to call the police.

What is the GB tellin us?

i?ve been reading some posts about the future of the whole governing body and fds doctrines and have come to notice something.. it seems like recently the literature has been focusing more on personal bible reading and understanding.

oh they still spew crap about how great the publications of the fds are, but i notice a little bit of a trend away from that.

for example: the bible reading highlights on the school.

Thorough all the drumming and repeating of their interpretations through the years given by the GB, the rank and file will still give the same ole answers and the upper GB will hear what they are looking for, with someone (the rank & file) else to take the blame now when the idea is proved wrong.

) and he had a 6,000 anniversary in 1975. correct?

and eve's creation would have marked the end of the 6th creative day, correct?

Vigil for my daughter, please.

as mentioned in my other thread, my daughter lena is having brainsurgery on monday, jan 24. the surgery will last 6-7 hours, so i'm hoping the board members will be willing to make a special effort tomorrow to send positive thoughts, healing energy, good wishes and prayers her way.

we are asking that the surgeon's hands be delicate and skillful and that lena does not bleed overmuch and that brain damage be minimal (if not non-existant).

surgery begins at 8 am eastern standard time (us), but we have to have her to the hospital by 6 am, so this is "good night!
