  Fight Club vs what happened in NYC

  today, it's very interesting to see how this movie was realistic.

  however, in the movie the explosion were during the night so nobody were hurt instead of what happened in new york...

  True COMF, but the Klan is not funded and sheltered by Alabama. There is a difference and it is a big one. This is really a no win for the U.S. On one hand, they have to respond with force to show these groups they will not be take this lying down..but this will foster more hate. But if they are weak in their response it will send a message that the US is ripe for the picking.

  Explosion in Dayton, Ohio

  twenty minutes ago, there were two large explosions in dayton, ohio.

  they were strong enough to vibrate my house.

  the local news reported that a plane struck the veterans administration building about 5 miles from my house.

  ex-JW's : Would you go to war?

  my ex-brother in law phoned this morning and asked me how i felt about going to war now that i'm not in the org anymore.

  with so many years of being told not to i wonder how many of us still feel that way.

  would you be worldly conscientious objectors or would you defend...etc.... i'm not trying to antaganize or be inappropriate.

  LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  Watchtower Article Titles We'll Never See

  i saw redhorsewoman's thread title, "the time is at hand", and knew why she picked it: because the society uses that phrase all the time (or used to when i was in, anyway... i'm betting they still do).

  it reminded me of a district assembly part from along about 1983 called "now is the time" (can any of you brighter types guess which song they chose to accompany it?).

  this got me to thinking of how the society has these pet phrases they use over and over again, often featuring them in some thinly reworked format (like going from "now is the time" to "the time is at hand") as article titles.

  i've read alot of posts about the mean, jealous god of the bible most were brought up to know.

  i myself have often wondered why a loving god would kill innocent people(flood, soddom & gommorah, the egyptian sons, and why wouldn't he give adam & eve a 2nd chance?

  jw's say they knew what they were to do and they defiantly disobeyed so they have no chance of a resurecction).
