They(the Jet's) will roll over the Colts with ease this week.
I was right on that one at least!

so, here are my first round playoff predictions (as if any of you care...lol!
colts 23, jets 15 (the jets had their super bowl vs. the packers).
packers 21, falcons 17 (i have a hunch that atlanta may pull the upset but you can't root against the pack at lambeau).
Yes, what a wild week!
Jets will blow the Colts out of the water - right now I think they are the most dangerous team playing.
Giants over the 'niners - maybe a very high scoring game, since TO can score on any given play. But the Giants have a strong momentum right now.
Pack over Atlanta. This is actually a tough call, and I want to lean towards the M Vic show, but tradition is the Pack win @ home always. So you can never bet against them @ home. But they have not looked very impressive over the past month. Maybe the Jet's embarrasements will fire them up for this week's game.
Steelers will pound the dog pound, any slim chance the Browns had went away w/ Tim C's broken leg. But he sure was magic in the 4th quarter this year!
Drat. I was spot on with the Jets.
Giants I was right about the high score, but not picking the right team! Who would have though the niners could mount that drastic a comeback? I mean, 38-14, the game's over! I guess not when you have a certain player named T.O.
Pack/Falcons. Well, I can't say I'm surprised. The way the Pack had played over the past few weeks, It didn't surprise me to see them so flat Sat. But I just couldn't fight history and pack's domination in Jan, plus Atlanta hasn't been setting the world on fire the past couple of weeks. I guess there had to be a first time! And Atlanta showed up ready to play. The pack showed up looking like they were already planning their respective vacations.
Steelers certainly didn't 'pound' the dog pound, they did win in pretty dramitic fashion though. I felt bad for Holcomb, he played the game of his life, and the Browns dominated that game - until the 4th quarter. I haven't seen so many sucessful long throws in a long time!
This week is even harder to predict. Any one of these games could go either way.
Oakland/Jets: Let's take the Jets in a close game.
Tenn/Pitt: Tenn, only because I like them :) Another tight game. Titans have been on a roll lately, winning some tough games. In reality I think Pittsburg will prevail, but I'm still going to put my official prediction on Tenn
SF/Tampa: The niners - Tampa has a good defense, but not invunerable. They have NO offense though. The niners do.
Egales/Atlanta: Eagles. Home field, cold game, Vic is good, but not good enough against a tough Eagles defense. As noted, he's hurting too. And the Eagles have proven they can win no matter who's at QB.

Yea don't remind me that they lost to the Bears ... that's almost as bad as the saint's losses to the Bungles and Carolina. But if the Jet's team that played the Pack last week shows up for the playoffs, then the rest of the teams better watch out!
truthseeker, much as I like the Pack and Farve, I don't think that with the way they're playing they'll make it this year ... sucks don't it?
how many of you on this forum were born into the jw faith?
do you think this put you at a disadvantage when leaving the org.
do you think that someone who becomes a witness later in life would have an easier time adjusting back to a "normal" life?
Another born and raised ... same old story here. Although, since none of the junk they were teaching ever made much sense to me, and I was mainly just extremely bored by the entire process of meetings, FS, etc, leaving was mentally pretty easy, but leaving and keeping family on speking terms was more difficult. Helping my wife dump the WT guilt train was the most difficult part, but once I was able (thank you 'net thang'!) to show her that the WT teachings were total bunk the guilt magically went away. Life is good now

I'm not so sure about that - they are the most 'on fire' team right now. I agree that they have not yet demostrated the ability to make a solid run, but the way they have played over the past few weeks shows that right now, they are one very dangerous team. And right now is what counts. They will roll over the Colts with ease this week. The fishy dudes were oh so close this year, but I think that the coaches need to adjust their calenders next year a month behind - so in Dec the fish think it's Nov and will continue to play.
As for the super bowl, I'm tossed between Tenn and Raiders making it from the AFC - both are on fire this year, but the Raiders have history and the NFL commisioner playing against them which makes me give the nod to Tenn. As for the NFC I think it'll probably be the Eagles especially if they get McNabb back.
howdy, i'm new here.
21 years in & now about 1 year drifted away with no meetings for spiritual food other than the memorial.
so, in my brother's view i am either spiritually dead or the next thing to it.
It's an awesome book - a real insight into the way the WT 'business' was conducted during the 50s, 60s, and especially 70's. A tide was turning in the 70's (rule by commitee) and it's obvious that the WT 'business' is still ruled by commitee. Everything Ray states he has documentation to back up, and he doesn't go down the 'sensationalst' route. Just an explination of the things he observed, and how it efffected him personally. As to his current financial standing, I have no idea.

I just wonder where dubla went - is he still crying now that the fishes (yet again!) blew it in Dec?
