this hypothesis would of necessity require an infintesimally small mote of intelligence or consciousness at the atomic level, and below that, if there was something lower.
atomic inteligence would explain why atomic hydrogen, the lowest form of known matter in the universe, forms itself into into clouds, that are called nebulae.

Have you considered that the molecule does not have intelligence in itself, but is being influenced by an unseen "field" of intelligence that surrounds and connects us all? Perhaps we are local and unique "subsets" and variations of that Field of intelligence.

I believe that the writer of Revelation likely had the book of Daniel open on the desk when he penned it. The Book of Daniel was probably written about 164 BC when the Jewish culture was under great stress from the greek ruler Antiochus Epiphanes. Its message is "hang in there, this too will pass". The Book of Revelation was likely written for the same reason. The early Christian community was under great stress from the Roman emporer Trajan. Its imagery refers to persons and events that were current at that time. It is interesting to note that many of the early church fathers did not regard the Book of Revelation as worthy of being included in the Canon of the New Testament.
I recall sitting in a Sunday School one morning while a noted Professor from Brite Divinity School (Texas Christian University) was present. One of my fellow students informed the Professor that the class was about to undertake a study of the Book of Revelation and asked him what we could expect from that study. He replied that the most we could hope for was to complete the study and still remain friends. Subsequent experience proved him correct.

One of the basic tenets of A Course in Miracles is that we are the ones who are dreaming. We are dreaming that we have a life separate and apart from the Creator. There is an interesting book with the title AWAKEN FROM THE DREAM by Gloria and Kenneth Wapnick with the sub-title, A Presentation of A Course in Miracles. It is available from Foundation for "ACIM", RD #2, Box 71, Roscoe, NY 12776. It contains an alternate creation myth which is very, very interesting.

Good post! It is also clear now the Mr. Blix glossed over in his speech some very interesting data that was contained in his full report. It is naive to think that some of Saddam's "stuff" will not wind up in the hands of terrorists.

Well said! Since the JWs believe in the reality of EVIL, they can't possibly allow the use of techniques that lead to mystical experiences that open one's eyes to the truth. Once one has glimsed the truth about ourselves, it is impossible to go back to old ways of thinking and believing. I could never allow anyone to exert so called "spiritual authority" over me. Especially not a group that has prophesied falsely so many times. The WTBTS will never be able to slake the deep down thirst we all feel. I believe that deep down thirst is our inner self wanting to "come home" to where we belong.

as you all know, the more you earn, the more you pay income tax.
I knew several JWs in the cleaning business who used "creative accounting" to avoid paying income taxes on their income. Unfortunately for them, they were audited and wound up paying huge fines and penalties that dogged them for years. I also know several that deal in "cash" among themselves and don't report that income. It seems to be a mindset among the witnesses. That is pure and simple cheating and goes far beyond "taking advantage of legitimate tax breaks".
