I don't think most elders will even give a shit about that example from this years "special" km school.

Post KM Elder School, you may see elders become a little nosier or nebby than usual.
by Theocratic Sedition inafter reading through onedayillbefree's thread about being taken into the back room and asked inappropriate questions, i was reminded about a part done at the km school.
one of the common themes throughout the one day school was viewing things the way god sees them and how doing so will require that elders develope insight.
they defined insight as, evaluating individual aspects in light of others, or getting & understanding facts and how all relate to one another.. next, they gave specific examples where an elder will need insight in order to assist wayward sheep.

BOE call MS for meeting - anything to do with Elders School?
by konceptual99 inlast night all us servants were called to an important and critical meeting next week.
no one would give me a heads up on it.
our boe went to their secret squirrel school on boxing day last week so i can only assume its related to that.

Nothing at recent km/elder schools that would facilitate a meeting like that. Probably as mentioned above: mic holders, readers, etc. Same sh*t different day.

Are JW'S "hated" in all the world? Or...are they considered IRRELEVANT?
by Terry inwathctower 90/1/1 p. 12 par.
8 not ashamed of the good news .
while it is true that jehovahs witnesses are hated and opposed in all the nations of the earth, this is in fulfillment of what was foretold to be an identifying mark of genuine worshipers of the one living and true god.

irrelevant to most except for those who have family or friends involved in it. then it becomes all consuming.

Your earliest doubt?
by Apognophos inthis might be an unfair question for those who have been out of the organization for decades, but i'm wondering if any of you remember your earliest doubt -- maybe something odd that occurred to you as a kid (if you were a jw then).
please try to limit to two doubts at the most :-).
i think my first "doubt" was simply realizing that at the time of the flood, every animal that wasn't in the ark died (well, besides the fish, supposedly).

Mine started when I was a child and realised that according to the book of bible stories sodom was destroyed because of all the sodomy but having sex with your dad is cool.
lol. that is so true, not only incest but getting your father drunk so you can climb on his erect penis.... yikes. Why on earth would that be even included in the bible.

How many exBethelites?
by Christ Alone ini'd just like to see who here has served at bethel, including myself.
this may be useful for those that have specific questions about bethel, but don't know who of us actually served there.
could we hear from those that served at bethel and where you served?

What is up with the influx of electronic readers at the Kingdom Hall
by wannabefree incrazy!.
the local publishers seem to be jumping on the e-reader bandwagon.. sisters even in their 70's are showing up at the hall with ipads loaded with publications for the meetings for crying out loud!.
a couple of these elderly sisters are having me get theirs ready ... should i add coc and captives of a concept ... perhaps studies vol vii ... to the library for them.

I do it for convenience and to go online at the meetings using my 4G LTE enabled 3rd Gen iPad. Seriously though its the only thing I enjoy about going to the meetings these days and it is very convenient. I see no problem with it, in fact its a trend worldwide. Many magazines are switching to e-format only.

Well I came here in 2002, didn't post much, began all my researching then in 2008 took a few years break. Came back and it was now .net not .com and all my posts were here and account was still active so began reading and sometimes posting again.
I think the passed couple years being back has made me more cynical and bitter. Perhaps a little jealous that I do not have the guts that many of you did to just say fcuk it and quit cold turkey. I have changed, but not necessarily for the better.

Are irregular publishers included in the congregation average?
by hoser inany congregation secretary or former.
if a person does not report for the month and is zero hours is this zero included when the average is calculated?.

"Someone is irregular if they miss reporting for a month"
Again true, however the CO will often send the group overseers of these individuals out to "make sure" that they didn't have any time to report. In fact he will say... "I am sure they may have talked to someone. Just ask to be sure" I am comparing procedure to what actually happens. I am sure your husband dutifully notes down who is irr and who is inact. like I used to when I was secretary eon's ago but the corporate inspectors send the elders out to make sure again anyway. So dumb!

Let me get this straight about the FDS latest thinking
by wha happened? inso the fds does not include the apostles.
what part of the gospels aren't food at the proper time?
or am i just mixed up on who the fds are..
-
XBEHERE
Hmm I never even thought about that one. So if there was no F&DS in the first century to dispense food at the proper time what about the writing of the New Testament? I would think that they would consider that "proper food" right... So if there was no FDS, no GB, until 1919 then Jehovah worked through individual annointed ones to write the bible? Begs the question then does he still do so today? How would they (F&DS) answer this one?
