  I'm with the above on that. It could possibly be a way of drawing people out, especially if, like me, you are signed in to youtube with your real name.

  Nevertheless, the desire to 'come out' and expose my true identity and post things that would also expose them has become like an itch that I am longing to scratch. It no longer seems enough for me to post anonymously. I guess its like standing up to be counted or something along those lines.

  Do be careful though if you are still in because they will punish you for speaking out.

  Yes, I remember the anouncement as though it were yesterday. I was an attendant at the 1995 Cardiff District Convention and I remember standing there near the pram parking area thinking, "oh dear, I know why they have done that, its to buy themselves more time". I did carry on for a while after that but the penny had dropped and it was never the same for me again.

  Cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias must have evaded me (thankfully).

  I found a copy of The Finished Mystery in my local book store a few years back and I can honestly say that it reads as the ramblings of a complete mad-man. It should be on an enforced reading list for JW wannabees so that they can see first hand what their counterfeit religion is built upon.

  It is inconceivable how anyone could conjure up all this nonsense and very worrying that anyone could ever believe it.

  Of course, they now either pretend they have no knowledge of it or step around it somehow.

  Masters of mendacity they are.

  Why the "New Light" in the July 15 Watchtower?

  it seems to me that in the past large flashes of "new light" have come when the governing body was backed into a corner.

  for example the multiple re-defining of what a generation is until it ended up the ridiculous "overlapping" meaning.. what is the reason this time?

  are they worried because the number of partakers has been going up?

  when jw's come to my door, i don't tell them i am an ex, just because they will move on and you will not have helped them see the obvious.. so i show them this scripture, and the new wt of july 2013 makes it even easier to confirm that new light is just moving the goalposts.. if jehovah really exists, they are in for some heavy crapstorm from him!.

  20however, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that i have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.. 21and in case you should say in your heart: how shall we know the word that jehovah has not spoken?.

  That poor, wretched child in the animation. They have even managed to make him look stressed and unhappily weighed down like a real Witness child.

  Just compare him to the other kids in the film.

  That alone should be enough to make most people see the sinister side of the cult.

  I'm sorry, but to impose that on a young mind is nothing less than child abuse.
