While I would like to see Michael Bloomberg (current mayor of NYC) president. I don not want him to run as an independent, which has been suggested.
If he ran this year the only affect would be to hurt Hilary, who happens to be the person I would like to win.
the awake magazines are down to once a month.
the new releases are now down to one book.. there are several "special campaigns" of offering leaflets- invitations to the memorial or dc and kingdom news.. here are some of the additional possible cost-saving measures.
please add to the list:.
Turn the wt and awake into un-dated booklets. The r&f would only distribute brochures d2d. The wt & awake replaces books and are used to study.
Do away with the bookstudy.
on the 11th of this month it'll be a year that i have been disfellowshipped.
i didn't dread being disfellowshipped mostly because i had underestimated the resolve of individual witness friends of mine to shun me.
i aslo had no idea what being all alone from one day to the next felt like.

You should do something to celebrate. Remember that this is the best thing that could ever happen. You are 22 yo. You have the best an the very best years of your life ahead without the crappy organization over your head.
i used to start looking at the clock behind me, look at my watch, look at the speaker or person handling the part and give obvious facial expressions expressing my dissatisfaction.

a few times when i had the last part in a service meeting, i'd say, rather sternly,"this originally was a 15 minute part but because we are running out of time, we will dispense with (whatever).".

Same here, that was part of the motivation. I wanted everyone to know that I was being inconvenienced.
my ex and i did for several years in our new home.
i was excited at first because that meant we were "good" dubs.
after about 6 months someone stuck their finger in our candle we had burning in the bathroom and splashed wax all over our new bathroom wall.
Never did as an adult. Always heard horror stories similar to your experience and never wanted the committment. As a child we had a bookstudy at home for a few years. Don't remember much except that my father always complained that one woman would always come to the bookstudy and spend the hour in the bathroom.
yesterday my friends 14 year old son died after a lenghty stay in hospital.
he had cystic fibrosis and in september caught an infection resulting in him spending pretty much the rest of his time in ic during which he suffered 2 heart attacks and was on life support and for the final few weeks has not been conscious due to medication.
sadly he lost his battle yesterday.. he was a little chap who i knew and was friends with my son from first day at primary school.
Dad's reaction initially was how sad and then............'its the best thing that could have happened to him......now he has the hope of the resurrection'.
Every tragedy has a happy ending i guess.

I would reach for my songbook. Turn to the closing song and make it clear to those sitting around me that the meeting was over.
Twice I had the concluding part on the servicemeeting and those prior to me went over. I said something to the effect that because we are going overtime we will go right to the concluding song..

I was an elder's son. In addition, I was a father to an elder's daughter. Hopefully I had some good qualities. I talked to my daughter this evening. She seems well adjusted in this crazy world.

The funny thing about an interview is you never know what happens. I have the hardest time judging the success or failure of an interview.
scenario 1 ..................when one 'faithful' partner dies in this 'system' and is resurrected and the other survives through armageddon.
scenario 2...................both partners die and are resurrected into the 'new system'.
as members are now dying off this is the reality facing those longterm aged members of the borg.
Resurected people will have no gentals or boobs and cannot marry.
This is something I struggled with as a witness. Essentially, the society has created a third sex. I always thought that this would create a caste system in the new order where people would be classified as those who could have sex and those who are sexless. Not sure who would be classified as the superior race.
