if the group here was a congregation, what role would each person here play?.

I'd be the one coming in late and sitting in the back row
wishing I was home sleeping instead of being there.

i was at work tonight and we were joking around and talking about old shows we used to watch while growing up.
i thought it would be fun if we wrote a line from a show and see if we could guess what show it came from.
my name is lenny, and if i ain't got it, there isn't any.
Chappy,
Very good.
Maybe I shouldn't have given a hint.
Ballistic,
I know that line. ( I think.)
It's from a sci-fi movie. right?

I said that one should be easy.
This one's a little harder.
" C'mon girl. Let's go home. "

OK. This should be an easy one.

okay, it's a hobbie of mine: astrology and people profiling.
now, i have a hypothesis i want to gather correlational data on.
disclaimer: it's only for fun, nathan natas, larc, alanf--all you logical thinkers out there!
There are only two kinds of people in the world.
Taurus' and people that want to be Taurus'.

ok......it has taken me lots of soul searching to put this post up (it contains some facts i dont really feel all that comfortable putting up).
but i will try and leave out here for as long as i can.. it is an email i have sent to my dad.
it is a followup - he has some of the info on the un already.
msil,
Your story is certainly a sad one.
Your courage is to be admired for sharing this part
of your life with us.
If there is one good thing that can come from your
telling us of your experience it is this:
Maybe some active JWs that are reading this will
begin to question the WTS, realizing that this could
happen to them.
To have to go to prison for a man made orginizations teachings,
only to have that teaching changed a few years later.
Basically telling you: Thanks for going to prison for us but now
we change our mind and your stand for our teaching was a waste
of time and a waste of life.

seems to me there are mainly three roads most of us have taken.
1.we did something "wrong" and were disfellowshipped and after felt able to look at the society in a different light.. 2.we didn't like the "truth" and were looking for a way out.. 3.we wanted it to be the truth but were overcome by the mountain of evidence against it.. which is the most common i wonder.. also do our motives play a large part in how we deal with information criticising the org.. without a reason to act information seems useless.. for instance if a person feels he has nothing to gain by leaving the org will he read different things into the same info as us?.
i think so and that all who leave must have a reason to do so, something to gain.. this does not make their reasoning wrong or prove they we are looking for just excuse.. but is a normal way in which humans deals with information.. two humans can have the same information but if they want or desire different things they may use the information differently.. maybe thats wht so many say "where else is there to go?
I would have to say # 3 for me.
There is just too much evidence that the WTS is NOT Gods
chosen org.

just wondering.. i find myself having little mini panic attacks about all this.
now that i have a little one to be responsible for, i am a little nervous.. i am strongly fighting the urge to have my car loaded up with a weeks worth of supplies for us (ie food, gear, clothes, diapers, water) so if something happens big here - i can head out to canada.. warning (haha) be ready my canadian friends - my daughter and i may be joining you.. anyone else feeling these "survivalist" feelings?????.
closer.
I think we can all agree that there will be more attacks here.
I think whether or not an attack was made on the Taliban, more attacks were already planed for here.
How can we prepare?
I don't really know.
I think we have to be more cautious when we're in a large gathering such as a stadium or any activity that will draw many people.
Other than that, what can we really do?
Stockpile food? OK.
Keep a supply of water handy? OK.
Keep a clean pair of scibbies handy? You bet.
Other than these things, I think we have to go on as usual and just realize that we have entered a time when the world as we knew it is not any longer.
