Are They Cynically Shutting Down The Organization?

i've raised this idea before but recent events seem to support it.

changes in the watchtower may be guided by more than a need for cash flow: they may simply be liquidating/shutting it down as discreetly as possible.. of course, this doesn't mean they stop working on their upstate ny country club - but it could mean that the throrough going exposure and disproof of their beliefs on the internet, when it emerged, took many of them by surprize, as it did many of us!

after awhile, they generally gave up trying to make any sense of their doctrines - and coupled with cash flow issues - moved towards a quiet retreat.. take a look at a few things:.

Remember when we were told that "If the Goverment attacks Gods true organization you will need to form smaller groups and meet in peoples houses to keep the preaching work eveen under ban as there is a time when Jehovahs people will be separated and spread out possibly unable to recieve directions from his chosen F&DS" Paraphrasing quie a bit here but i'm sure you get the point, we might not be here for you and you will have to learn now how to subsist on your own.

Could this be used to show what is in their future, not that they thought of this in advance as I do not think that they ever thought that they would be in this position financially having to sell off branches etc. It could play right into their hand though and this kinda reminds me of the last part of the movie" The Sting" with Robert Redford where they made off with the "marks" money without him even knowing that they were still alive and had taken advantage of him.

I don't think that this is all planned out in advance, just a way to distract the rank and file while making them think that it is what was "prophet-seized" in advance.

Governing body member engaged... Again!

just found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.

it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.

what made me say "woah" was hearing that the holy bride to be is really young!

I would say so, it records video and audio.

So yes it is .

I always thought that if I even went there I would just have a transmitter that would link up wirelessly with a recorder into my car outside. This way I would not be lieing when they asked me if I have a recording device on.

There is a video series on youtube under user jwstruggle that shows how he recorded his JC using an ipone placed into a tie. I would suggest if anyone does this to remove any large amounts of music and or existing videos so that you will have plenty more storage for recording.

more haphazard thougths on the recently concluded elder school..... a big chunk of time was spent on a video which traced a judicial case, all the way from the confession to the elders through the decision to disfellowship the guy.. here is a very brief synopsis of the video:.

tearful late-teen or early-20's publisher confesses to 2 elders that he committed fornication with a "worldly girl" who is now preganant and wants to marry him.

the elders give him some "homework" to do prior to his judcial committee - read psalm 51 and an old wt article.

You know how people would go into a movie theatre and record the movie and then show it at hope. Never did this just heard about it.

Well, Someone needs to start thinking along these lines if we ever want to get a copy of it to show.

Is there not some way?

Birthday coming up within the next year,...

WT Elders school: Avoid black and white thinking - now look at this zebra

continuing on with my haphazard review of the recent one-day elders school..... in one of the introductory talks, the co was making the point that we can't view things merely from a black and white perspective.

many issues have "shades of gray" and we need to use discernment in such situations.. and i'm thinking "finally!

maybe he will continue on to make an actual, reasonable point!".

It seems that they are changing their "black and white" thinking to "Black and Blue" thinking.

Seems like they are hammering the elders for being too nice lately, several threads make mention of this.

How Did The Watchtower Reason Away Their United Nation Membership Card? Poor Malawi Brothers!

the brothers in malawi died, sisters were rapped for not buying a government card which the watchtower organization did for itself with the united nations (ngo status, card carryning members of the wild beast!).

why did the governing body decide it was ok to carry a united nations identification card for the watchtower society as a whole?

this makes no sense, shows how little the governing body and the "dark corporation behind the organization" does not care for jesus christ's little sheep.

Yes, they could have reasoned, "We have found a way to use Satans WILD BEAST of Revelation against himself as a way to further the preaching work in foreign lands, and the WILD BEAST MUST comply with honoring our request to become a member"

I'm sure that they would have found some scripture to back it up and of course it would have been fullfilling prophecy to boot.

In respect to headcovering, can you get away with a sheet of toilet paper??

whose idea was it anywhere and is there any mention of it in any awake or bodgetower?.

the idea, that women when taking the lead in anyway or praying should have something on their head as a sign of respect suddenly struck me as a sign of total disrespect!.

i understand a woman may put anything on her head as a sign of respect to her superior male colleagues, including a used kleenex....i've seen it so don't doubt it!!.

If a JW sister is conducting a Bible Study for a group of people in the hospital where there are men but not JW men, does she need to wear a head covering.

If not, and a JW man comes into view, she should, according to JW rules, put on a head covering at that point.

I'm thinking of attending one of these meetings just to get the Sister to have to stop and put the head covering on so that it looks a little weird to the others.
