i seem to remember some new 'rule' that elders whose children go to college, or perhaps it was out-of-state college, should be carefully examined to see if they still qualify.. does anyone know where that is in the publications?.
I think it had to do with some review that would rate the elders on being able to give talks at the Conventions, could be wrong.
So I donlt think that it was in a actual publication for the Rank and file, could be wrong.
Would love to see it again if it is out there.

if this has already been discussed i apologize.
i'm only here sporadically anymore.
in a recent wt study a photo was featured in the magazine that showed a "brother" ignoring the "worldly" people around him, including one who appeared to represent the group "anonymous".. i have come to learn that nothing can be taken at surface value when it comes to the borg.
Is there any real "meat" to the rumors that I hear about the Anonymous getting involved with the WTBTS?
I have seen some videos on youtube but it is a video of the guy with the mask and some audio behind it, anyone can create on of those right?
However, I do believe that the images are very well though out and planned.
What does the front edge of the womans pink bag say? "OBA" is all I can make out and how does that sound phonectically?
Could it be taken as OBEY? I'm just saying as I'm sure that it is not an actual stores bag so they had to make something and why not something that would work for them a bit.
Check out this video of Derren Brown to see how he explains it, got to watch to the end to see the explanation as to how it works and how he pulled it off.

i am new here and this is my first post although i have lurked here for a couple years.
i started having doubts about the org back then and my curiosity overcame my fear of so-called apostate websites so here i am.
i just resigned being an elder 2 weeks ago.
I love it when a plan comes together,..
Marked,..
this is just a few things interesting that happened to me yesterday while waiting in the er.. i'm fine other than a minor concussion and being sore from tripping over my cat yesterday and face planting into the corner of the wall.. so anyway i had to wait about 6 hours in the waiting room and while i was there, there were these two hispanic women going around the room asking people if they wanted a "tract" on jesus, they didn't know english all that well and i couldn't really see the cover of the tract or anything, but the one woman who approached me had what looked like a bible.
of course i couldn't see what bible it was.
if i wouldn't have been suffering with a concussion and could think better, i would have inquired on if these women were jw's or not.
I've thought about contacting the hospitals that I've been to in the past and have my records updated to remove the JW and any blood potential issues
that may arise in the future while I may be incapacitated.

i had just became a witness and a guy i worked with, who was also a jw, told me a story that actually made me laugh and i think it upset him a bit.
the storys were almost always in the third person.
it went as follows.. this brothers wife and him were sitting at the kingdom hall on the end seats of the row next to the back of the room.
Family member told me that the WTBTS has a "on call" brother that travels around the USA performing what I would consider exorcisms for the friends where the elders are not able to handle it.
Sounds bogus to me.
I mean someone admitting the elders can't handle something, come on!!!

does anyone know anything about this ..i heard from family that all letters and latest arrangements are accessible to elders on jw.org but they need to have a password.
wondered if anyelders here could give us it...or will it identify someone?.
Please don't think of using "Beth-sarim-1874" as a password,.. Not a good idea,..
Want to guess how any elders thought that "1914" was their own special idea.

i know there are a lot of examples to choose from but i want to find wt references that are the most blatant.
the printed evidence can be a great resource to all, including jw lurkers who fact-check.. .
.
Go to Jwfacts.com to find out some info about prejudice.

I think that she means that the WTBTS could record which documents were being downloaded by user "x" if they wanted to record that for later review.
Also they can see if user "x" has logged in 379 times in the last week, where the average user logs in 1 time a week so that would set off a flag that this users account info has been stolen, shared etc.
I would think also that they could see what Ip address is being used to log into the site so if the user account is being logged in from all over the world it could set off a flag.
On another note, I believe it is possible for the WTBTS to record the page that a user left just before landing on their site. And if that person log into the site they would be able to link up , for instance, Elder Lurker leaves jwfacts.com and then next logs into jw.org and logs in. I beleive they would be able to put 2 and 2 together and see that Elder Lurker has been checking out Paul Grundys site.
Even if you do not log into the site, I would think that EVEN visiting JW.org just after leaving any apostate site, even without logging into their site would show that "someone" from Huntsville AL area (IPinfo) left Jehovahswitnessrecovery.com and then landed on JW.org and went to page x, page y, page z etc,..
They could see the exact page you left and also your history on their site. This info could be sent to the local body of elders to possibly unt a person down.
Not to scare anyone from lurking, just make sure that you visit a non apostate site just prior to landing on their site.
Any techies that can confirm or deny this info, I could be wrong about some if not all of it as I have just gleaned this info over the years and am in no way an expert.
