Faith and the Bible
by tec infor those of us who must walk by sight (for now), there is nothing wrong with using the bible to help learn about christ and god... as long as ... you look to christ first and foremost and over anything else.
otherwise, i do not see the point in saying you follow christ or you are a christian.
he is the truth.

IF you have been DF'd recently.............i want to know.....
by Lied2NoMore indo they tell you "legal requirements" of a df'd behavior?
like, you cant talk to anyone, if we hear of you talking to other members it will hurt your reinstatement, do they tell you to come late and leave early, do they tell you how to be reinstated, what kinds of things if any are covered after you are told you are being df'd????
do they tell you their basis (loose scriptural right) to take this action?

I was pregnant with my daughter and very repentant... going to two book studies a week and informal witnessing. I had one elder say that he was pushing to get me reinstated before my daughter was born. It didn't happen. The rest had to stick to their stupid rule of keeping you out for a year.
the Bible is ONLY for the ANOINTED.....so why are the DFing 'other sheep'.....we don't partake, we are just 'associating' with Christ's brothers, right?
Ha! Good point. But you forget, if anything in the NT can be used to control you, it applies to you, if it is encouraging and leads to Christ then it doesn't.

how high would you rate your moral standards ?.
where do you stand on telling lies, upholding truth, deceiving others etc ?.

It is extremely hard to stay "in" in any form now that I know the truth. My dad and my brother think it is preferable to die before Armegeddon because that gives them a free ticket to the thousand year reign. So sickening, and so hard not to correct them, but what good would it do? The timing has to be right, the seeds have to have time to be planted and grow.
I said amen to a prayer before a meal and I will never do that again. I was messed up for days.

When I was a jw, they were more unloving than the world.
Amen! That was one of the first things I discovered. People from all religions or lack of* are willing to help and support me at this time... all except JWs of course. Pagan, wiccan, catholic, baptist, orthodox, non-denom christian, atheist and agnostic, and likely some I forgot.

so i am a corporate trainer and meet lots of new people every week... i always click w one or two of my students but for the last 2 classes i have clicked with two jws!!!
i did not know they where jws and they have no idea i am da'd... but after i befriended them on fb i realized ohhh ish!!!

I find it quite sick that anyone professing to love Jehovah and Jesus could seem to chuckle at the deaths of homosexuals and others.
He says we should feel an inner satisfaction over such things. The bible says that Jehovah delights in the deaths of no one... ( Ezekiel 18:23, 32) so why does this JW seem to think its comical?
Very good point Timmy. I use that scripture often, but never thought to apply it that way.

I do not disassociate because once I do no one will see that I am full of love, joy, and peace. Once disassociated they will not see that. People know that I am not going to any meetings or out in service yet my life is better, not worse. That might make them wonder.

Serving Jehovah - by Law or by Love?

the idea of searching for christian freedom is very important to me, and i already know that this book is going to be very helpful in this regard.
on pages 12 and 13, i read something which has been on my mind recently regarding the removal of the mosaic law and its replacement with love through jesus christ.
