  Revelation- Inspired or......A case of bad Chicken

  the book of revelation is unlike any other book in the bible.

  so many visions leaving many to wonder what do they mean?

  supposedly, it holds the key to the future of mankind.. john had been through so many trials and tribulations.

  The book of Revelation is unlike any other book in the Bible. So many visions leaving many to wonder what do they mean? Supposedly, it holds the key to the future of mankind.

  John had been through so many trials and tribulations. One may wonder if under the same circumstances how we would we hold up? Examining the question the answer I came to regarding myself, it would have drove me nuts.

  Then the topic was discussed in chat:

  Was the book of Revelation inspired or could it have been.........
  He was half out of his mind...It was taken for being inspired because of who he was. If not inspired, what could have driven a man to such visions???

  1. Bad Weed
  2. Too long in prison
  3. Too much sun from when he had been shipwrecked.
  4. Maybe it was the voices that drove him out of his mind.
  (the voices someone stop the voices)
  5. Was upset at someone and had his panties in a wad.
  (enough to drive anyone crazy)
  6. Too many shots of Tequila
  7. Not enough shots of Tequila
  8. Couldn't find a decent pair of shoes
  9. No more MTV.
  (is that still on?)
  10. He got a hold of a bad piece of chicken.

  I feel that this is something that needs some reflection.

  If you were John exiled on an Island what kind of things could have inspired you to write a book like Revelation?????

  Thank you for this post.
  Yes, some will call foul, take offense at your words. I for one would like to say to those that do. "Stand back and look at the whole picture". Not just the frame of the movie you participate in, the whole picture.

  This board has helped in the healing for so many so that have reach out for help. When I first began to lurk here there was so much information to glean. It was like seeing the WBTS through a glass house, getting information that really reconfirmed that it was okay to have doubts, in fact there were good reasons to.

  When a new lurker comes to this board and all they see is how the members of this board do nothing more then bash each other, they are going to cut tail and run before they even get a chance to appreciate all the hard work that is done here. Where are they going to go? Back to the KH?

  The WBTS has taken from everyone on this board in some way or another. This board is like a band-aid it helps the healing. Many are closing the lid on that box
  .
  I don't think that Simon should have to change anything on this board. We are all adults or most of us are. Maybe there should be a separate forum for bashing only. Put those of you in a separate room to duke it out for yourselves and leave the board open for those that need healing but don't have the time or energy to sift through the bullshit. Many of you have found your happy place in life please let others try and find theirs before they are sucked in to the gloves off tactics and forget why they came here in the first place.

  The boys in Bethel must be yelling "see, there in no unity you can only get that from us". yeah, right. All the bashing is making them so proud.
  For the life of others can we all try and pull together whether we like each other or not and help those that are going through major life changes a place of refuge.

  I Said Goodbye

  my father was rushed by ambulance from his rest home to st. marks hospital in salt lake city, utah friday, but i only just heard about it.

  i received a call from the floor nurse and she told me he is not expected to live.

  his lungs are filled fill up with fluid and are continuing to fill u with more fluid: he has pneumonia.

  Such a hard thing to go through. I am so sorry that you are loosing your Father. You are so lucky in that you have had the kind of relationship with him that you do. So many have to live their lives with regrets for not saying what needed to be said or doing what needed to be done. My heart goes out to you, and I will be thinking about you.

  Need new drink!!!

  here goes i have been drinking rum and coke (bacardi) since i can remember and finally realized that maybe it is contributing to my severly harsh hangovers.

  so i went on a quest in search of a new drink.

  a side of relief for me but angry for what happened after the announcement of my disfellowship from the wts.

  i urged my mother not to attend because of the emotional trauma and agony you experience.

  she's diabetics and any emotional let down can cause her serious problems.

  I was thinking of you tonight, wondering if it was the night of the ax. I went to the meeting tonight and had that kind of sick feeling.
  I'm sorry for you, your family & your mother and the feelings she will be going through. No, it isn't fair. So many families ripped apart and made to be tormented. You and your family will be in my thoughts like so many others here on the board. I hope that you can come to some kind of peace.
  Even though you are so bitter (rightly so) don't let the anger eat at you like a form of cancer. It is not only bad for your health, but it will keep you from having 100% enjoyment of your new freedom. Enjoy your freedom and don't let the WBTS take anymore from you then they already have.

  that sick child molesting bastard is in jail now as we speak.. his sentencing is set for september 24th i think.. one down many more to go.. thanks to all who have supported this cause.. sheila

  Memorial ultimatum

  i recieved this email and thought i'd share:.

  i heard a piece of gossip the other day from a friend in california that i thought was outrageous and right on par for the borg.... it seems a 20-something sister in a southern calafornia congregation has dedided she is one of the annointed much to the chagrin of her elder body.they have tried everything to disuade her from this path.in a last ditch effort to come up with arguments against her, the elders'wives were sic'd on her and they came up with a piece of information that they felt would be useful...it seems this sister is also pregnant with her first child and is very much looking forward to breast-feeding.so the brothers told her that if she wants to partake at the next memorial she can't breastfeed---because the wine would transfer to the milk and the baby is not annointed!this sister is heart-broken,she feels she must choose between her motherly obligation and her spiritual one!.the advice i passed on to her via my grape-vine was to think long and hard what decision she might make if for some reason her baby needed a life-saving blood transfusion...if the borg won't let her take a sip of wine it will surely not let her save her childs life with a transfusion!.
