A Parable Relevant to Those Who Say We Should Wait on Jehovah
by Eustace inhint: the "drowning man" represents the jw hierarchy, and the men in the rowboat, moterboat, and helicopter represent those who complain about injustices ("in france, a former elder believed that he had been the victim of an injustice, and he became bitter...").. "the drowning man".
a fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood.
he was praying to god for help.. soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, "jump in, i can save you.".

Jehovah's Witnesses and Divorce
by Eustace ini really hate divorce.
it was my parents getting divorced that helped messed up my childhood.. part of why i came to conclude the jehovah's witnesses don't have the "spiritual paradise" they claim to is how many of their marriages end up in divorce.my parents i could dismiss as an exception to a general rule, but i could never understand how often it seemed to keep happening to lots of different people when the watchtower society teaches that divorce is wrong except in case of adultery.. but what really brought things home for me was this study by the pewforum on religion survey showing that even though jehovah's witness are less likely to be married than the general population, they're more likely to be divorced or separated.. http://religions.pewforum.org/.
they really have a nerve telling people in the jehovah's witnesses religion that they shouldn't have sex outside of marriage when they've done so little to protect jws who get married, and their children, from the extreme stress and conflict of divorce.. it's really messed up.. heck, even the catholics they're are always dumping on have a lower divorce/separation rate than the jws.. jw divorced/separated = 14%.

Annointed JW Website Responds to "New Light" on FDS
by Eustace inon october 7, 2012, we received the following comment and inquiries:.
today there is a new post [on another website] commenting on the "new light" of the governing body about the identity of the "faithful discreet slave.
" i think this "new light" from the governing body is intended to weaken the new stand of witnesses who are partaking in the emblems.

The GB of today sure hates Charles Taze Russell
by Eustace inthe whole concept of the faithful and discreet slave in the jw religion goes back to charles taze russell and/or his followers calling him the faithful and wise servant.
how in the blue blazes can they say he wasn't part of the faithful and discreet slave?.
quite a demotion, it must be said, from the faithful and discreet slave in the flesh to not even being a part of something that rutherford's lowly henchmen on the board of directors got to be a part of!.

FDS change - same as Elders School change reported by the Brazilian?
by Eustace inanyone have any ideas about this issue?.
is it really going to be that hard to ram this change down people's throats that they need to get all the elders all prepared and stuff?.

The difference between a religion, however strange, and a destructive cult
by Eustace ini think the difference has to do with ostracizing former members.
when a group does this, then whether or not they used "brainwashing" techniques to get peoplein, the people in have a tremendous amount of pressure being put on them to stay in no matter how badly they're treated.. the problem i face when it comes to studying this issue is that there is i'm having a hard time finding data on which groups do and do not ostracize former members.. here's a list of some groups i consider destructive cults with information on whether or not they ostracize former members in paranthesis:.
destructive cults.
