He probably would have accidently placed his study copy of the WT that had the beard and mustauche(SP?) drawn on the pic of the woman on the cover! I found horns, glasses, doodles and notes of all kinds on my kid's mags. It kinda made me laff.

To MochaL, I really feel for you.You suffered a terrible experience.(((((((mochaLatte)))))))) I too was slandered by my unfaithful ex who pulled the "she didnt render her marital due" excuse.Those lying horndogs get sympathy b/c some woman do beg off. However, even if it were true , the Bible says adultry is a sin and gives no free passes for real or imagined inadequte sex. After all, single people are expected to be TOTALLY celebate. Glad you're out. Just curious, is there someone new in your life?

To mentally free, Very well said. There has been "new light" on the generation even since this was origionally written. If a JW doesn't like or understand the present explination of "the generation" just like a bus , stick around and wait for the next one.

Hello From a Newbie
by AlphaQup2nite ini found this site randomly the other day on an unrelated search, and its nice to find a place where people can discuss a relgion that in house cannot be discussed without either being quoted mantras or a very skewed view of the world.. ok about me.. im a 24 year old taiwanese-american, and i have been raised as a jw from the age of about three to the age of 17, when i unoffically left.
i started to have doubts around age 12, but did what i was supposed to to keep mommy and daddy happy.
my parents are jws, as well as my older 1/2 sister, and my younger sister.

Frankly, I'm surprised they let me occasionally watch them considering how bad the shows made my parents look in comparason.

if anything, it's the organization itself, specifically the business end of it, that bothers me.. the legal posturing as concerns individual congregations actions in matters that could escalate into courtroom matters,.

Boy, oh boy, I couldn't agree more with EVERY post here!!! These stumblers don't get off the hook by using the "imperfection" excuse primarily because they they claim to represent Almighty God. Jesus himself said at Luke 17:2 "It would be of more advantage to him if a MILLSTONE were suspended from his NECK and he were THROWN INTO THE SEA than for him to STUMBLE ONE of these little ones."Do JW's kow or care what JESUS SAID???????
