Could my wife be awakening???

so i have followed all of your advise as far as not talking religion, just showing love etc.... she has missed the last 3 meetings and i have not said anything like "are you going?

" etc.... she's a born in/active and our relationship has gotten so much better after i faded completely...no guilt trip/pressure about preparing for meetings as a family, service, etc.... tuesday was a huge sign for me...she has meetings tuesday nights and she was planning on going, but, her coworker called her offering 2 tickets to go see our local baseball mlb team and guess what?....she told me lets go!!!

i was like wtf?...in my mind i was like wow, you're gonna miss your 3rd meeting in a row!

After she has missed a month of meetings, or somehow gets the unwelcomed attention of the elders, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT! Be supportive, loving and above all LISTEN! Because she is a born-in, you must remember the Borg is just like a parent to her. This means that she can cut them down, but you can't. Just listen and nod and give her all the room she needs to talk. You know she is on her way out, but she must do the equivalent of mental gymanstics before she can see herself though clearly. Slow.... Steady.

OMG ....we overslept lol

did anyone else do this on sunday mornings: when i was slowly waking up i realised that i didnt want to be at the meetings anymore, my hubby would be sleeping and i realised it was time to get up & get ready, so even though i was bursting for the loo i would hold it so as not to wake him up .

sometimes i was in pain holding it in , but waited till it was too late to get there on time lol.

then he would suggest going to the afternoon meeting intead and i would say i didnt like that congregation...you go hahahahaha, funny thing is he never liked going to the meetings by himself!!!

I too held off going to the toilet so as not to wake hubby many a time. Then one morning I could not wait; but I had a plan. When I got back in bed I took off my night gown. Never had to worry about Sunday mornings ever again!

GB needs a new name

well since the gb has announced itself as the fds, we have got to come up with a new name for the gb because they are the fds and a bag of chips now.

how about flower delivery service?

Good Signs from my wife? maybe? She wants to improve her thinking ability!

so after the memorial hell http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/249700/1/memorial-hell my wife totally missed the special talk and i only just realized from jwn that she has.

in fact last sunday i took her out to a park and we had nice time in the fresh air enjoying nature.

also she has taken up improving her congnitive skills on luminosity and today said she might actaully go and study some algebra on khan academy which i had suggested instead of spending money on luminosity.

Go slow.... Go very slow, have patience. Keep her talking, ask open ended questions if any at all. You have set her feet on a path, but she has to tread it. Just be there for her. When she is ready, you will know.

Well since the GB has announced itself as the FDS, we have got to come up with a new name for the GB because they ARE the FDS and a bag of chips now. How about Flower Delivery Service? Freekin Damn Servent? Any other ideas?

I guess putting a ban on part-taking is one way to make the end times seem closer. These people are nuts! I was a born-in, so I have an excuse, but who, in their right mind, would EVER consider joining the Jdubs now.... they do not seem to know if light is coming or going! And if we, here on this board, with all our leaked information ahead of time are confused about what they are teaching, imagine how the R&F must feel, and they are scared to death to be wrong about anything.

I really feel for all of you who are just starting to open your eyes or just starting to try to fade. How in the heck have you kept up with all the changes? Did the changes bother you? What did you think when they went down to twice a week meetings? Or when they decreased the amount of hours to be considered a Jdub in good standing? What did you think when they changed the song book again or began downsizing what they print?

Now I do not know your wife like you do, but please do not "dump" information. With all that she is currently going though in her mind, she can very easily get overwhelmed, then frighten and entrench herself even more into the JWs. Listen to her very carefully, LISTEN. Only reflect back what she has already told you, let her know you have heard her. Do you know what a reflection is? Let me teach you. It is simple and the best tool in my box as a psychotherapist.

Lets say she is discussing the fact that she missed the special meeting. Listen for her tone. Is she upset that she missed it? Perhaps feels guilty? Or perhaps her tone tells you she did give a damn about missing it and enjoyed sleeping in. Put a name to how you perceive her FEELING and give it a name. Culty minds often forget what they are feeling and need their feelings named.

"It seems you may feel guilty about missing the special meeting"; "I'm glad that missing the special meeting did not upset you"

With reflection what you are actually doing is opening the windows. Your giving her permission by opportunity to talk, and talk freely. The more you can get her to talk about how SHE feels the better.

if i remember correctly there were more than 100 million books distributed around the world in the the 1960`s.. and if i remember correctly it was listed amongst the ten most distributed/published books by the guiness book of records .. and if i`m not mistaken "paradise lost to paradise regained" was also on this list.

and even in one year about that time their were no less than four of the societys publications on the 10 most distributed books ever.

at that time.. how much of what was printed in those publications then, is relevant to what is beleived today.
