  Food for a funeral

  a sister who lived in a local cong was dying and so she decided to get ready for this by preparing all the food for her funeral.. she spent a lot of time baking cakes, quiches and making sandwiches etc and filled the freezer with these so that the brothers and sisters could remember her at the get together after the funeral talk.. would you have eaten anything?

  Latest KM Stats

  in november they got 966,528 pubs and 90,542 pioneers.. so, their exploitation of the wtc tragedy and 15 minute.

  publisher policy has worked very well for them.. in december they got 968,126 publishers and 89,808 pioneers.

  again, a big success in exploitation and 'paper' publishers.. i note that the pioneers dropped by 734 however.. maybe some more mass death will help.. metatron

  I was fortunate to attend this conference. They have multiple workshops. It would be great if you could set up a booth or even hold a workshop.

  it is indeed strange, yet understandable to observe the "kneejerk" reactions you get when you point out possible .

  flaw's with the mighty us of a, "god's own country".

  Alright - here is my two cents.. and some of it has already been mentioned.

  America is unique. Where else is there a country that is so culturally diverse, and that diversity protected as in the USA? Yes, there are injustices, but America never claims perfection.

  State another country that has been able to hold a constitution as long as the USA. Although its been 200+ years since the constitiution has been enacted, there has only been a few admendments to it. The fathers of the US Constitution had the foresight to keep the power out of the hands of one individual and give the power to the masses, even tho this is a republic.

  This is a great country.

  Single at 40 .JW virgins.

  come on admit it, if you were brought up a witness you were dead scared that you were going to end up like the men you saw prowling the assembles and congregations looking for wives.. there would always be men and women in there 30's and 40 who had never had a boy or girl friend.. i used to know quite a few.. the horror of their lives shocks me.. now i not dissing anyone who has chosen not to marry that is their choice.but these people i know want to meet someone and get married.. but the bad news is that the older they get the harder it is to find a wife .what makes it worse is that the choice is so limited.. many of these grown men are even affraid of women .

  why?.

  because they are taught that even to look at a woman is to commit imorality let alone talk to one.. i knew a brother who had never had a girl friend , he was about 26 at the time.now a sister asks to go out with him so he accepts.quite soon she wants to hold his hand.. this brother now tells her off, for in the family book it says holding hands is only for people who are going to get married.. he doesn't go out with such a spiritually weak sister again.. what has the socity done to these peoples lives.. many people who were once happy teenagers hoping to meet the wife or husband of their dreams are now approaching 40 or even older and have never even had a girlfriend.theri only hope is the new system and i don't want to breack the news to them but its not coming.

  As mentioned - equally sad were the 17-19 year olds who got married to prevent themselves from getting d'fd for fornication. My promise to myself then was that if I wasn't legally allowed to buy alcohol for my wedding night, I'd be DAMNED if I was ready to get married.
  Another thing that is sad is those that settled for someone in their congregation because they couldn't look anywhere else. For example, I knew a 17 year old girl (my best friend at the time) who was in love with a guy, (I believe to be a closet homosexual). Well, he committed fornication with another woman to prove to the elders that he wasn't gay. (Yes, the elders had to counsel him to stop his feminine qualities because it was causing people in the community to question his sexuality) So she broke it off with him, and wound up marring a 32 year old guy. (she currently has four kids with him now). Well he (the first guy) eventually winds up marrying her cousin. His new wife is about 13 years his junior. Thank GOD I left when I did.

  I can bet you that they probably aren't paid the same amount as the regualar bethelites.
  Does anyone know how much they get paid? Are they taking the "vow of poverty"?
