Thanks for the upload, I haven't listened to anything like that for so many years... ugghh.. so depressing. I can't believe they make children suffer through that. Anyways...
"Does avoiding apostates imply that our faith is not strong enough to discern truth from falsehood? Does it suggest that our faith is not strong enough to discuss different views? Not at all. In our ministry we talk with those who have different views. Apostates, however, differ from most of those whom we meet in our ministry. Apostates are not sincere in their expressions. Their aim is to manipulate your minds and undermine your faith."
Yes, it does imply that your childlike minds aren't strong enough to test every expression.
Yes, it does imply that you're to insecure in your beliefs to even consider another viewpoint.
In your ministry 'the society' only wants you to talk to people with 'different views' that are uneducated about Jehovah's Witnesses. Apostates know all to well. That's how they really differ.
Their aim may be to help you open your mind and question your faith. ... Like a mature, rational, adult... or they just may want to put you down a peg or two, what with all the smug self-satisfaction.
... Believe what you need to believe. Deep down in your heart... you know it's not true... and that it makes you miserable.
It's an apostacy against the human spirit... and you don't have to do it.
