I just visited this site and read some of the ? from readers . the author is assuming a prophet like stance in that he feels it is his duty to open this site and help people who are reading negavtive stuff about the WT on the internet. I have never seen JW work like this-they would not commission him to do this. He'll end up DF for doing this if he continues. Just my thought.

LOL i saw it to and stat thought of JW.
some times i will go out to lunch with some friends, or maybe they will have me over to dinner.
in doing so they will some times ask me a question about the witnesses.
normally it is because one of them works with one, or knows one in the family and they did not want to offend that person with a question that might sound rude or even silly.
This is so true. A lot of people do think JW are harmless people and most of them think they are very moral but with some odd beliefs. Many people hardly know anything about their beliefs than the big ones like maybe holidays and blood.
Actually a number of religons talk about an armageddon and don't celebrate x-mas r they give u a hoice whether u want to celebate or not. Our pentacostal type neighbors don't beleve in tV or anything like that. so actually jw are certainly not the only screwy religions around and compared to the branch davidens and those people who committed sucide and planned to go up in spaceship-well,JW see almost ok.
I find myself trying to tell people now what jw beleived and i swear, i haven't really studied in so long i would be hard pressed to try and prove anything. also, now that i don't study-nothing makes sense anymore. Like my mom's funeral, the talk was not comforting and sounded disjointed as the speaker jumped aorund from one topic to another.
two weeks ago all sunday meetings were cancelled in the shirley area here on longisland ny.
a elder meeting was held with the co. my aunt a jdub has informed me that all 4 congregations have had over 7 disfellowshippings in the past month and about 2 dozen since the beginning of the year.
it seems that many of the youth are having sex and allowed to do what ever they want.
We had a similar incident in 80's at bonham tx. apostates took over the hall(actually took possesion), and society had to remove entire elder body and send in people. All of us (including me at time) helped build an much bigger and better KH . It was very nice with pond and all in front. looked sort of like the assembly site in denton Tx.It was quite the talk around here for some time.

about a month ago i had a watercraft accident and i got busted up pretty good.
last weekend a workmate of mine got a benifit going for me......at marks bar.
My mother, recenlty passsed away. She was a loyal witness, but she was old and for the last year had not been able to attend meetings.All but an handful had forgotten her. I only saw a few from KH at her nursing home. She was so grateful when they did come to see her. I was the one that called them and reminded them that she was in hospital/loney/whatever and would love to see them.. No cards-no flowers from them. I called them b/c it meant so much to her. I was determined i was not going to totally let them forget her. But i should have known , my own dear mother once told me"JW are not good when u have problems..." She was right. U have problems-they run. Where is that scripture that says something about a brother being born for times of trouble-indicating true friends will be there in rain or shine.It was hard for me to see how soemone could forget my mom. she was loyal and hospitable, had been a pioneer during ww 11 and saw first hand mob violence here in usa. She had a very loving way about her that would draw anyone to her. One hand was crippled, but she always held out her hand to everyone and said "i love u" and "thank u " for any help she received. She trusted in jehovah and in the end it was me-an inactive witness-who was there for her and forced a few of them to do the right thing. her own son-an active jw-rarely put in an apperance. I don't know how some people sleep at night.

from my youngest days, i remember being told that we should be careful because of the demons.
they are everywhere, just waiting to pounce on us.
we were told to stay away from windchimes since they "attract" the demons.

actully we did have a wig that belonged to a bible study that would not burn. We had all determined it was demonized and took it out to burn. To our horror , it would not burn. Further proof we thought ,it was demonized. We just threw the wig in the ditch ( litering ) and left in a big hurry. truth is stranger than fiction. wednesday

I enjoy minimus questions too.
Growing up i was very affected by demon stories as they were abundant. Everything could possibly be demon related. I remember being frightened to sleep alone at night as a child. I won't go into it now, but some may remember my first post was about this subject. It is something that i am trying very hard to downplay and not give so much attention to.I had the habit of consulting psychics.. I do not do that anymore. Anyway, i have tried to lightedn up on this. All those years of jw thinking have left their mark though. wednesday

I just started reading COC and i was totally appaled when i read that in less than 2 hours the decision in 69 was made about DF for "unnatural sex". he cited all the letters the society received about this and how it altered so many lives , causing divorces etc, only to change there policy again in early 70's(can't remember exact year). I didn't even know what they meant by unatural sex when i first read the articles. Apparently he said it started with one couple in california. Someone had seen literature about "unnatural sex' in there bedroom. How they got acess to it is unknown.
Imagine all those elders sitting around listening to all the confessions. Franz said there were many JC after the articles.
No one should have that kind of power to be able to tell husband and wife what kind of sex they can have/or not have.
i've heard a ton of "bad counsel" given by elders such as "you should or shouldn't marry this person", "give up that job", "you should pioneer"........were you given any "bad counsel"?

once when i was 17 i was openly talking with a sis at the public talk. I was bored and we were just having girltalk but i guess we got too loud, and the speaker stopped his talk and corrected us from the platform. (it was a small cong and half of us were related)
Once years ago at a weekend assembly, i had a can of soda .During the talk i decided i wanted to drink it so i popped the top and it spewed all over the palce. the assembly speaker actually stopped and looked at me. (just lucky i guess)
i once got counseled for leaving pampers in the ladies bathroom(may have deserved that one)i was 17

Toward the end of my activity i was so discourged. A sis and i were out one am and we came upon someone washing their car. I believe i told them i wished i was home washing mine.
o, one real blunder-i once was commenting on how awful a householder's door looked and they heard me!! a lot of jw will talk about the most intimate things at the doors not realizing someone might be listening.
