  Where are they now? Past posters ...

  i've just been looking back over some of the old posts and remembering some of the people we have had on the forum, been friends with and now miss.. one of the down-sides of running a place like this is that it becomes harder and harder to really 'get to know' many of the new ones like it was at first and i'm often working on the system and seeing so many names that they sometimes almost become a blur.

  sometimes i see a post by a name i don't recognise and they've already made 100+ or so posts !.

  many people are bound to move on eventually (although we're lucky to have a good bunch of 'regulars') and it's unfortunate that some are put off posting by personality clashes (possibly mine!

  YOU ARE RIGHT. What people need is support.

  My previous post do not go againt your position..
  I think you still can have the best of both worlds if you keep and maintain the difference.

  Nothing wrong with fluff per se. You'll have audience for each, depending on the position of the learning/leaving curve we are.

  We have tabloid papers everywhere AND and the kind of papers such as London Times paper,

  Many times both papers are owned by the same corp. They recoginized the difference in audicience and they want to help/please (and profi)t from all of them.

  Sorry but another site (yours) relevant example is WATCHTOWER and AWAKE and that is ok, keeping thing separate.

  Simon,

  You should have a section just for SERIOUS WT and related sutff.

  You will have slow traffic on that section.

  I mean you just cant mix everybody on the same pot. It does not work.

  As it is now you have scan a 1000 topics to find one it is interesting to you. Too may "FLUFF" TOPICS on the way.

  Good serious poster eveuntually get turn off by so much fluff being posted. Fluff, garbage etc have its own place, dont mix it.

  actually a friend of mine, alex, (who hopefully might read this and commence posting on this board) has been insisting for 20 years that women are naturally bi sexual.

  i laughed at his claims.. but now, looking around here, and based on numerous group chats ive had with women on this site, there seems to be some evidence that his theory is correct.

  "My Child is Dead"

  this morning we published a very moving story written by a jehovah's witness whose 15-year-old son died supporting the watchtower's society blood policy.

  to the best of my knowledge, this is the first time a jw parent has gathered up the courage to face down this monstrous policy after losing their child.

  this is a very special person indeed and when we finally gather enough of these folks together and set them in front of the right attorney, the wts will be in for some serious litigation.. at present mary is in the midst of divorce from her jw husband and nailing down a custody agreement, so the identity of her and her son must remain anonymous.

  The case may not the best evidence to show what is wrong with blood polciy.

  Do protesters need to wait for an 'ideal' case?

  Present the facts and thinking people can arrive to conclusion. Specially parents will be inclined to make up their minds, revisit the issue.

  New BOE letters every day!

  from today there will be a new boe letter posted every day on the watchtower observer.. on http://kent.steinhaug.com/boe these letters will be downloadable as pdf documents, and every day i'm at home a new letter will be posted.

  i will keep on doing this for more than a year, so keep yourself updated.. .

  Next time just remove the offensive post and if it continues then delete the poster.

  Most of us have posted in bad taste. give everyone a chance even if they dont apollogize. Very few will apologize, that is how most people are.

  No big difference between WT/JW and people posting here. May be within the next 300 years we human will learn a lesson or two.

  in fact, in the 1969 edition of aid to bible understanding, the author notes the following: .

  "the value of life is considered so sacred by god that the blood of a murdered person is viewed by him as defiling the earth and such defilement can be cleansed only by shedding the blood of the murdered.

  Do you eat dead animals?

  So you approve killing animals,

  why?

  hey, why dont you kill your dog and eat it?

  if you belevie in evolution,

  Better yet go and kill some monkeys and eat them too, make sure is not a relative.

  I could not kill any kind of animal, except insects in self defense.

  what brings a smile to your face?

  i cant help but smile when my wife laughs, or when my kids play outside.

  i also smile when my boy, who is 15 wants to talk to me.

  Can you define it?

  What about animals do they smile? or is it only human?

  Anyway it is my autoreaction when i meet people, anyone, unless they point a gun at me. Also i am not sure about gb members anymore...
