I hope you can sail out three miles and make that right turn south someday. It is so much BS, having to pick out of the way joints to have a beer and burger with family and friends. Glad you are free.

Oh happy days one of my df sons has been "REINSTATED"!!! and my parents and employees and old friends are soooorooooo happy!

he called my dad the next day and he said it was basically a distant grunt....until those magical words (sorry sparlock) "i was reinstated last night"....and then tinkerbell started spreading her fairy dust and all was well....my son is still hopeful he can still fade and will quickly rattle off to me the short list of successful faders he knows that have a pretty normal life.....i told him i so want to tell dad and my ex and the other most self-righteous ones that he is just like me and figured it all out by himself despite my best efforts to wake him up for years!!!!!.
but that would be toooooooooooooo easy toooooooo in your face doncha think???

yesterday @ congregation part 2
by Gorbatchov init was an inspirational evening at the meeting yesterday evening.
there was a nice comments @ congregational bible study (former bookstudy) about listening and obying the slave.
"if we are told to go left, we are going left, if we are told to go right, we are going right".. the comment was welcomed by the book study elder of course.

"Scriptural divorce"
by ilikecheese inso i was talking to my boyfriend about the whole jw scriptural divorce idea.
i made the point initally that i think when jesus was talking about reasons to get divorced, he was more or less just trying to discourage divorce for frivilous reasons.
you have to admit that there are a lot of people out there who just don't put much effort into it and just give up.

The WTBTS has gone back and forth on what constitutes scripturally free over the years. In the 60s the favorite Farm animal or a gay lover was not grounds for a scriptural divorce. Heck a large portion of Bethel were rooming with known homosexuals so everyone would have been "free".
Then it swung to being alone with someone of the opposite sex for an hour or so got some people "free". Well that didn't work out well, some fix-it types, and business conference attendees at hotels got "set-up". I heard of a Hotel mgr JW getting set-up..yes..he was at a hotel all night...with women on premises I imagine.
Then I knew of a brother who got an erection during a massage.- From a licensed practioner.no hanky panky..no sex. His wife was declared free and he was disfellowshipped because he said the whole idea was crazy (unrepentant!!!).
The latest I read was before taking my leave was "all night" with 2 witnesses. OR if it was unbeliever...a sworn statement by the "believer". hummmm...... I guess day sleepers get a free pass. PORN? It was incredible how many angry teens rat their JW parents (elders) out for porn collections!!! lol!! Who cares?

by Mary ini just got a call from a friend of mine who is going to court on friday to fight to see his children because his jw ex-wife doesn't want him to have access to them anymore.
in a nutshell this is his situation: met her about 12 years ago after she had left the borg and they got married and had a couple of kids.
she decided that she didn't want her children murdered by jehovah at armageddon so after being gone for 7 years, she went back and went back with a vengence.

I want to release the motherload

etc.. my original intent was to make some type of searchable database but my time has been taken over by more important things in life for me.
i don't care about the jw's all that much anymore and who or what gets what information i don't really care.

I was reading some updated info on Hedge Funds and I realized just how brilliant WTBTS is. They have dozens if not hundreds of offshore corporations and branches. Private hedge funds can transfer money from account to account and be managed in the Caymans. Safe from lawsuits or any government investigation.

Hardest most awkward parts of being mentally out but physically in
by BU2B ini am still physically in but am completely out mentally.. i was curious for those who spent some time in the borg while being mentally out or are still in that position, what is the worst, hardest or most awkward parts... for me i intensly dislike attending the meetings however its bearable as i can just let my mind wander, but field service is awful.
i cannot try to bring someone in to a group that i am trying to plot a way out of.
so now i try my best to either spend the day driving around to others fruitless rv's (we have somewhat rural territory) or eating out at an extended breakfast or if door to door cannot be avoided, i try to work alone and not ring bells.

If you need to avoid being disfellowshipped because of family......Faaaaaddddddeeee.
Find a reason to have to switch halls. Count an hour talking to us. Work out of town, switch schedules. People will EXPECT to not see you and never think about it. When JWs ask you questions....reply.."good question..what do you think?"
If you need to get through to people ask questions, avoid statements.
I know a few people who have been out for 10 years and no one in their family knows or cares. They come and go freely.
