recently i heard from an ex jw back in my former country of residence that she had heard i had been df'ed and it was announced at a meeting... can they do this?

I was dfd in absentia,in January 2000,You don't have to meet with the J.C. The elders in my hall sent me a letter via my exhusband, (my husband at the time) it was never delivered to me directly. No elder came to see me and if they did I would refuse to see them as they are gutless, especially in my case as they knew why I left, I had asked for their help several times, I must have been invisible to them or something, they never acknowledged my request for a few minutes of their precious time. So i did the inevitable I sinned on purpose to get out and then I divorced my ex after 28yr of rotten marriage to a fanatic and hypocrite and the thing that peeves me more than anything else is the elders knew what my ex was like, but they never did anything to him. Oh well lives a bitch. But I am FREE!!!!!!

MY MUMS IS DIEING O F CANCER?

my mums in hospital in nottingham england she is a current jw and has stomach cancer.she is a lovley mum but has been brain washed not to have the blood so they left the opp to build her up.

because she would need blood during the opp if she is weak she will die on the opp table.but she has got worse and weaker so now am losing my mum through waiting.she would have had a chance.

but now it looks like she has 2 weeks of life left.why???

Be Strong Mark you are not alone, my thoughts are with u during this difficult time.
You have rights as you are the son and the hospital is under obligation to you to let you be in charge not the elders, who gives them or right to invade on personal family matters. When you are with your mum, tell them to buzz off as this is family matter and not any of their business. Tell the nurses and Doctors treating your mother that you don't want JWs invading your family privacy.
Just a side thought, when my father an (elder) was dying from cancer he recieved a drug call "erthroprotien", it boost red blood cells.
My father had to go throught Bethel , cause the doctors wanted to give him blood and all that, the society approves of this drug. Hope this helps a little.

i remember before there were computers the brothers (elders) and there little helpers would literally spy on individuals, in order to catch a person in any form of wrongdoing.

i am not making this up because my father was an elder and he engaged in this practice many times.

he would even regularly spy on me or he would have other brothers watch me and see if i was doing anything wrong.

And i am not a teenager or in my 20s I was married and have a grown son and the reason that he spied on me was because once my ex husbands company had a company picnic and I had a little to much to drink, according to three other brothers that were at that picnic. I was hauled before the j.c. and questioned and they browbeat me until I admitted that i got drunk, Of course one of my accusers was also an elder in our hall and he felt that he should report me to my father and the other elders, and let me tell you this elder that accused me drank more at this picnic than me and while he was part of the J.C. I said to him, "how dare you sit there and accuse me and you were no better in fact you drank more than me"' he didn't know where to put his face. After a few moments of a tense atmosphere things settled down and then I was told I was going to be publicly reproved, and I said why and the elders said because three witnesses saw me. I said that hardly is common knowledge, but I lost and I was reproved in private chambers with about 20 persons and then in the main hall in front of the whole cong. I was Publicly Reproved.
So my advise is this, if you know that elders that don't have computers you better beware as there is more than one way to spy on a person.

The brothers hacked my email!

just learned that a group of jws hacked my email over a considerable period of time, hoping to intercept "incriminating" information in an attempt to disfellowship me!.

they printed up the emails and passed them out to other elders to "examine".

they were certainly very, very disappointed to not find anything they could "use".. the only outgoing emails from me they obtained were those attached to incoming mail as a result of some friends hitting "respond" when they wrote back to me.. the person who got into my email account is a ministerial servant who had previously worked on my business web site and therefore had my password.. he would download my email onto his computer, miles away, and then put everything back as "unread" so nothing would be "missing", when i accessed email from my computer.

My father was an elder and before there were computers to trap you, by hacking your e-mails. My father would spy on person suspected of any wrongdoing, he used my truck, because people didn't know me truck as i had just moved into the congregation. He even spied on me following me when he was sure i was doing something wrong. One time he thought i didn't see him and i did and i waited for him to pass me by on the highway and then i sped up to him and smiled and then passed him. He was fuming.
