has anyone on here used the method of sending a letter to the editor of their local paper, either exposing some of the wt's general misdeeds ie: child abuse, shunning, etc.
or something perpetrated on them personally?
if so, has anyone sent one to the fort worth star-telegram?
I say give it a whirl what can you lose, you may just get a hearing ear and have a great article in a newpaper , their are always news reporters looking for tidbits and religious scandal to perk up a drearly town paper.

a sister confronted a bethel elder about this in my presence and he confirmed it ....wow!
i thought it was a bull crap rumor...and he said they had been disfellowshiped....any aussies hear of or no more about this?

Nothing suprises me anymore. Before my parent we JWs they had friends who did this , they would all put their car and keys in a bowl or hat and who picked out keys that is who they went home with. My parents claimed they never particiapated in this game.
So its not hard to believe witnesses do it too. There is as much sexual misconduct in the organization as there is outside the witnesses. Witnesses just are good at being sneaky about it and hope they don't get caught.
I am not saying this is the norm among witnesses but it does happen a lot.

this site is amazing...if newbies would take the time to search even a few dozen pages....from day one it was up...til today.......god what agony they would see.....right here among those of their very own or those who were there own for forty to sixty years!....something is horribly wrong for wt and fds not to be able to see the pain this jwd group has experienced due to their rules and regs (not what the bible mandates), and is causing families so much grief.....there is no way in the world a loving god would want families to experience this much pain!....and even urge families to not speak to one another!....geeze...that is just..........sorry, no word for it..................oompa

I disagree with you big time L R. and what about the hidden things in the organization that is happening right now under the guise of of WTS skirts when they say nothing to police when they know of insidences involving horrific atrocities.
Just read some of the stories on Bill Bowen's website www.silentlambs.org That is just the tip of the iceberg. How about the things the the victims are afraid to tell because their molesters threaten them or their families to the child they are sexually molesting. belief me it is still going on this very moment.
People who died because of the blood rules, transplant victims , suicide victims, murdered victims, mental and emotional victims shall I keep going. ???

luckly she is going to a mental health proffesional soon.. monday - bought her a nice hat as we were going to the races.....tuesday - she decides she doesn't want to go because of the crowds...wednesday - re-arranges furniture and tidies house from 8pm till 8am making lots of noise.
in the morning flys into a rage when i ask her to find library books that are overdue....rings a brother we know and tells him we are get divorced...she sick of them interfering {havent seen him in a year?
} tells him she will sleep with my father like in the bible so i can get an inheritance from him???....
TAKE HER TO THE NEAREST ER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

most of the emails i receive to jwfacts.com are from doubting jws wanting to express their appreciation for the information.
occasionally i receive emails from active jws and although a couple have engaged in intelligent conversation, the following email i received this morning is a very good example of what jws send me.

But then that is what the society has bred an organization of persons who have not permitted people to obtain a higher education. And all good JW's follow the instructions set out by their leaders. I am self taught and many of my friends thought I had a higher education. Oh I wish I did, but at least I continue to read daily and everyday is a new learning experience.
It just peeves me to no end that it was alright for the society to educate individuals in law, medicine, sciences , etc. but for the average jw it was no how no way. What H Y P O C R I T E S!!!!!!!!!

there are so many raw honey products on the internet, i cannot decide which one i want to buy.

I agree, she did as you requested and now you have to do something nice for her as a sign of good faith and your love for her. You never know things could change for you both and you may rediscover you deep love for one another again. all the best Orangefatcat is a romantic at heart.
