VENTING!!!!
by SoulJah inafter reading marylin's post about dicipline, i'm feeling all worked up, as i can totally relate to the cild that is being beat.
especially at the meetings.. anyway, it makes me want to go back to the meetings to keep an eye out for those type of parents that like to hit there kids; and when i see it happening i think i'll take the liberty of walking up behind that parent and wacking him upside his head.. anyone want to help?.
f%$k them f%$#ing f#%ks!!!!!!

I never beat my kid but I now shudder and am repulsed at the thought that I used to make him stand in the corner in the back of the hall to keep him awake. I think I've redeemed myself though by no longer allowing my wife to force JW-ism down his throat as he got older. He wants nothing to do with them now.

If God's Son Appeared to the Watchtower
by IslandWoman inif god should send his son to 124 columbia heights would the watchtower recognize his authority over them?.
if jesus came again in the flesh, went to brooklyn healed the sick and performed other miracles but spoke out against the authoritarian rule of the governing body and the hypocrisy of others who work there would they accept correction?
if he said the governing body and all their immediate helpers were to step down because now he was to rule the watchtower and correct their wrongs, would they?.

Nah, he'd be brought before a JC for running ahead of the organization, and disfellowed!
ROFLMAO
That's probably truer than we think since the WT has set themselves up as being equal to or greater than God himself.

LETTER READ TONIGHT
by biblexaminer inwell, the wts has directed all elders in canada to read a letter concerning the child abuse issue.
it is the same whitewash as read in the us a while back when dateline aired.
it seems that on the 'eve of destruction' (ie bbc and panorama) the wts has decided to read a letter that was obviously penned weeks ago.

Apstates putting in together to buy acres of property and putting up co/do tent villages...
I'm willing to bet that most of the men in authority see the hypocritical agendas in the leadership of the WT, but stay in because of the free lifestyle. With no skill to speak of and after a lifetime of working for the org they truly have no place to go and are loathe to start over.
AFAIK, I wouldn't give one red nickel to support any displaced CO, DO, or elder. I'd let them reap what they've sown.

The DIL called us apostates and said she didn't want her hubby to come around at ALL any longer.
This statement brought about many memories and arguments me and my wife used to have before I finally made my stand.
When she had her crisis of conscious crying before the elders and started her study into dubdom I used to have books and other things that were very dear to me around the house. As she studied with the sisters I saw my things being thrown away without so much as asking me. I came home one day to find her throwing away everything that had the moon and 13 star Procter and Gamble symbol on it. Then she turned her attention to cabbage patch dolls, smurf toys, and some selected nintendo games, specifically the Legend of Zelda. Time went on and she turned to saying things like "I would never allow this or that in my house" of " I'll never watch this or that". She used the usual justification JW justification of demonizing almost everything. What that came to mean was if it doesn't "look right" to the two old lifetime pioneer ladies she was studying with, the congregation, or if it went counter to what the WT said she didn't want exposure to it and I was not to expose myself to it whether I was interested or not. She'd gotten comfortable with the WT and those old sisters pushing their conscious on her and she in turn was pushing her conscious on me.
About two years after I was baptised during my "wake UP" phase all that rudely came to a screeching halt. I had to bring her attention back to the knowledge that this was my house too and that I don't recall either her or the society paying any of the bills around here.
Hopefully, your son will get a little backbone and not be led around by the nose of his needy little bride.

Sick kids at the KH
by Sadie5 inthis always irked me, when little children were brought to the meetings and they were sick.
i remember one little girl would cough through an entire meeting.
they brought her like that for months, they said they didn't know what was wrong with her.

I remember at a congregation in Houston I used to attend where much praise was heaped upon a mother with an unbelieving mate who would drag her 5 kids to the meetings whether they were sick or not. I could see the displeasure on the faces of her two pre-teens whose job it was to keep the other kids in line while at the same time try to pay attention to every word coming the podium. That was some ten years ago so I figure that those preteens are adults now who have long left that nonsense behind.
I suspect that it's like that in every hall.
To them, nothing is more important than those
indoctrinating sessions....meetings. -

and you 'don't have to deal with the whole sex thing, because they'd be too spiritual to want it'
Yeah Right
I worked around 17, 18, and 19 year old girls the first 15 working years of my life and they love dealing with that "sex thang". It's they're family and friends they've fooled into believing that they're all virtuos and chaste. I've heard the way some of them talk, even those that were JW's in the hall I attended. At the hall, they pretend to be so "spiritually minded" but outside of the KH they're just like any other so called "worldly" girl. A lot of them want it, in fact searched it out, just as much if not more than the males. Discretion goes a long way with a dub girl out to "get her some".
And as far as those old geezer brothers go......
I too have been seen so many extreme May December romances and marriages in kingdum halls that I've had to shake my head in disbelief at what these people must be thinking. They can't deny that they'd much prefer sister young-fresh-hot-tight-body to old pioneer 50 years in the truth sister one-foot-in-the-grave---the-other-on-a-bannana-peel. No matter what front brother elder might put out for people to see, when it's "on like a chicken bone" spirituality flies out the window.
(Insert Irish accent here) Dirty ole men the lot of them.

The rigid rules the old geezers up North put on the flock really encourages this type of extreme May December nonsense.
There only choices are to marry brother just-got-out-of-diapers (so to speak) to satisfy those incredibly hot sexual urges.
Then there's brother middle-aged whose spend the greater part of his youth working for the org full-time so he can get that coveted elders position only to find that now in a changing economy, he can't find a job with that "hi schul ejumacation".
Finally, there's brother over-the-hill who has after failing to "beat into subjection" his first wife, outlived the second, now has a nice little 18 year old trophy hanging on his side that without the aid of viagra or a pump, he couldn't possibly keep up with sexually.
But, at least that sister will reap the rewards of that nice SSI pension he's managed to save.

Here's a self-professed maybe ex JW pedophile whose made upwards to a billion dollars selling records now using the race card. Michael Jackson...using the race card.
Could it be sour grapes because the album he spent 50 million producing was a complete and utter flop? Could it be that people have gotten tired of his antics and the clearly scripted bull he's used for the past 20 years to call attention to himself? Could it be that because of his album flop that he'll most like spend the rest of his life paying off all the debt he's accrued from SONY, that's if they don't forclose on everything he owns first?
In my opinion, speaking from a black perspective, he's only pulling the race card to find wiggle room out of the mounting debt he's accumulated and he needs an issue he can jump on to try to save his otherwise sagging to almost dead career. He should just face that fact and move on to the land of other has been superstars with at least some of his dignity intact.

JWs: No Social Conscience
by Room 215 inof all the delusions a jw labors under, perhaps none is more tragic than the one that deprives him/her of the truly satisfying reward of spontaneous help to a fellow human being in need.
this is achieved by the promulgation of the notion that the jw ``join us or die'' ministry is the single most worthwhile endeavor any human can aspire to, and supercedes any other claims on a jw's time, talents or resources.
although wts literature targeted for public consumption cleverly words any reference to charitable works to deliberately create the misimpression that jws excel in this regard, the social pressure within the organization against involvement of significant effort and time in humanitarian voluteerism is palpable.

That's why at one time Jehovah's Witnesses used to leave literature for tips reasoning that the "life saving" message contained in the society's publications was worth far more than money.
I believe that's what some JW's still think. I've had to leave appropriate tips for a JW relative who always leave a bunch of change with a WT or Awake after a meal.
