I think most of you hit the nail on the head. What dumb sh#*% would make that publication the basis for the meeting format, and expect you to come to the Service Meeting, and not make one available to you? What should you do, read comic books while they are discussing the articles? What a bunch of idiots!

Why do some people answer your question with another question?

this burns me to no end when people do this.

i feel the whole world is getting like this day by day.

people can't just say yes or no or a direct answer anymore it always has to be with a question, or going in circles without ever answering the original question, or down right evading the question.

I remember a talk given at the Kingdom Hall that encouraged Witnesses to answer a question, with a question. Maybe we subconsciously do that from our training? They said that was the correct way according to their reading of the Bible.

In some cases it might be okay, but others, "Just answer the question"!

hi.. is anyone aware of the latest kingdom ministry article concerning the memorial invite campaign??

apparently, it says something along the lines of ......once this memorial season is over, our chance to praise jehovah will be gone forever..........is anyone else aware of this???

Bumping into J Dubs

is it just me or does anyone else get that 'sick' feeling when they see a jdub?

i live in a fairly small town but i knew alot of dubs from all over the state.

i can (gladly) go months without seeing a single witness...but then sometimes no matter where i go they are all over the place.

If you see any JW's, just put on a big smile, walk right up to them. (preferably if others are around) and ask them, "Hey, how are things in the Spiritual paradise?"

don't you think a lot of brother's stay with the watchtower because in the real world they would never be anybody so-to-speak.

they would never even attain their '15 minutes of fame' that many have.. but, at the hall, they get to get up in front of an audience, and people listen to them as if they really have something to say!

and they're given a 'title' such as elder, ministerial servant, microphone handler (wow) etc.

christians, they love to talk about how loving, dutiful and compassionate they are, yet i have yet to meet one who does not practice hypocrisy to the highest degree.

their willful ignorance of the bible combined with their two faced idealism to preach it, has made us sick, hasnt it?

Hey, it's really nice when someone apologizes. I've also had to eat 'humble pie' every once in awhile, mainly dished up by my wife .

We have to remember, if any of us were bamboozled by the Watchtower, we must have not been too smart, so no use trying to pass ourselves off as Bible Scholars now.

UN-BE-FLIPPING-LIEVABLE chance JW meeting moments ago...

this is trippy.... the set-up: every weekend, 45 weekends per year, a company flies me to a different city in the u.s., and has me lead group presentations to families of college-bound high school students.

we then offer to sell them our college preparation program.. a few weekends ago we were in fresno, california.

he asked which organization it was.

Well, if it was a 'God' thing, then keep telling him things you have discovered. If he is offended or does not want to listen anymore, he'll be sorry he chased you down. Stranger things have happened.

But, at the Hall, they get to get up in front of an audience, and people listen to them as if they really have something to say! And they're given a 'title' such as Elder, Ministerial Servant, Microphone Handler (Wow) etc. And they can feel elevated over Sisters, even Pioneer Sisters!

But in the world, no one would give them they time of day. How sad, everyone wants to be somebody!
