  well, i did it.. it's official and i'm relieved.. the elders wanted to try talking to me once again, but after awhile it was obvious that they were only interested in changing my thoughts not answering any questions.

  so, i just calmly asked if i could disassociate myself.

  they acted stunned and they got tears in their eyes, but i told them that i had already grieved and was ready to move on with life.

  Secret Agenda

  more than likely this will sound like a naive question to some of you, but what is your theory as to the wbts' secret agenda?

  i don't see any of them living it up....as far as i know all the governing body lives at bethel year round, eating in the cafeteria with everyone else.. what would their reason be to collect & hoard money, or belong to the un?

  I can`t believe the 3 stooges(GB)are running an organization that made 951 billion dollars last year alone.My gut feeling is there is some one or group above them pulling the strings.But who?As this whole UN thing unravels we may find out.In the mean time keep the pressure on,there is already a large crack in the great tower,with no way to fix it!...>>one,GB means governing body...OUTLAW

  lyall james was born at 12pm today @ 8.1 lbs.

  mother is doing fine.

  bubs is in the icu with a breathing problem but should be fine.

  although they frequently point to the apostle paual as the 'original circuit overseer," the wbts has set up a system which is nothing like what paul did.. paul was not a burden to any congregation.

  yet, today the cos and dos (at least here in the states) have the following life:.

  a bethelite brother gave a public talk at our hall a couple weeks ago.

  one part of the talk focused on "putting kingdom interest first".

  he gave examples of how some gave up material comfort so they could pursue the ministry.

  on shunning.. the watchtower basically points to two reasons to shun people:.

  1) it will make the wrongdoer think about their course of life and help them to come back to "the truth".. 2) it will protect your faith in jehovah and will keep you from being stumbled.. i think there are really 2 other reasons.. 1) fear of being shunned themselves for associating with you.. 2) to punish you for not thinking or being like them anymore.

  kind of a revenge thing.

  wannahelp,you seem like a kind and careing person,that is nice. Still the fact remains if a dog go`s rabid on you,you`d best watch your ass!Even if that dog was your friend it no longer is now.The same go`s with people.Remember the good times and be aware of the present OR your gonna get bit.There are alot of nice people on this board,and I think your one of them...OUTLAW
