believe it or not the motives are love, at least in my case.

i know that sometimes jw's on this board do not show that, but it goes the same with some ex-jw's too.. am i going against wt counsel?

yes, but i am willing to pay the price to help my fellow man, specially if i see that they blinded by resentment and are going contrary to jehovah's will.. why does the wt give the counsel to stay away from site such as this?

Ok, ok. I read the subject line and immediately went into

raising my hand, waving it around vigorously, bouncing around in my seat (a la Horshack) and shouting out "I know! I know! It's because they CAN!!!! [and the WTS and their elders and even their spouses need never know!]"

But then I read further on the thread, and think that GodRules has sincere motives, although s/he is still delusional.

I, too, appreciate your concern for us, GodRules. I, personally, did not make a single post to this Board until I was officially DA'd (and now, I'm addicted! LOL) out of a mixture of paranoia and also respect for what the organization taught. But that's just me, and you, although active, seem sincere in wanting to help us wayward ones back to Jehovah.

However, I see by your response to Seeker's excellent post that you, like so many other Jehovah's Witnesses, make a fundamental error. And this is why I labelled you "delusional" above.

What you are saying is that God will killed me disobeying him and posting in this board?

If you carefully read Seeker's explanation of the Uzzah story and its application to JW posters on this board, you will see that it is NOT God who Seeker believes will kill you for posting on this board. Because you are not disobeying God by posting here. Rather it is the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses/FDS that you are disobeying by posting on this board. And they will kill you, spiritually speaking, if they find you making a PRACTICE of posting in such a place!

You, as so many Witnesses before you and as others likely yet to come, make the grave mistake that the CCoJW = Jehovah God himself.

This is a fallacy, and you will actually learn that if you stick around here and ignore the flame posts and pay attention to the thoughtful exposes on the WT Society and its history of failed prophecy and unloving conduct.

If you do stay and learn, and suffer the crisis of faith and the grief of having invested so much of yourself in a lie, I will be more than happy to try to comfort you as you experience what it is to be

Blood Update

you could look at it this way. Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac foreshadowed God's sacrifice of His only son, Jesus.

WHY did Jesus die? So that all men might live (yes, yes, I realize this meant everlastingly, but why be in a hurry to pass onto the eternal? God is working around us, there is plenty to do in the work of the Lord right here on earth, so why not try to attain that "mighty" age of 80?).

Jesus showed compassion on the widow of Nain when he resurrected her only son so that he could spend more time on this green old earth with her, perhaps to be a comfort to her in her old age. Yes, it was a testimony to Jesus' claim to be the Anointed One of Jehovah, how he could perform such powerful works! Modern medicine is a testimony to the Greatness of our Creator Jehovah, who made man in His image -- with love, mercy, justice and wisdom as cardinal qualities.

How much more wise is it to exercise mercy by availing oneself of the fruit of man's created intellect, so that love between parent and child (in this fictional instance) can endure? If the child dies, he is one less worker in the field doing God's will on earth. How much better that the child's life be spared, so that both parent and child can continue to glorify God together?

So, if I'm understanding you correctly, some people have been appointed your husband's law guardians even though you are the closest relative and you are the one who is sick with multiple sclerosis?

If I may, what were the reasons given (true or untrue) for the request for guardianship and the granting of it?

How is it that you have been accused of murder? Some type of neglect due to your husband's needing care and you unable to provide it due to your own illness?

I am astounded at the long trip cross-country and that you didn't have the letter from the Society with you to shove under the brother's nose when they said they had no record and asked you and your husband to leave the premises immediately!

I have to go now, but I would sure have to know more about the situation before I could commit to calling any of the people you listed.

The elders (including the P.O.) at my hall were well aware that I went out for a birthday dinner with my children and unbelieving mate for everyone's day except mine.

Nothing was ever said in the way of counseling/reproof/research hints -- nothing.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I feel the shift to becoming more like a mainstream Protestant church is also apparent in recent doctrinal changes.

Now that "the generation" teaching is revised, and the dates compromised, can the WT become anything more than just another sect proclaiming that the Lord is coming soon?

In fact, haven't they already begun to parse words with their [also newly] revised take on Jesus' visible Second Coming versus his invisible Parousia?? The darkened skies, the paranormal occurrences now emphasized as having a literal fulfillment instead of the spiritual fulfillments since 1914(18?) that supposedly pointed up the organization's godly standing?

When the present Governing Body's anointed ones finally die off, I wouldn't be surprised should material be brought out in the Watchtower about how rejecting the body and blood of Christ is a Satanic ritual in which Jehovah's people unwittingly participated. And how from now on, all baptized and ordained Jehovah's Witness ministers should now partake worthily at Memorial time. (Perhaps they'll make up something to the effect that the "old light" was to allow a differentiation between the anointed and the other sheep until all the anointed were raised up to be with Jesus, but now that that has been accomplished, this "new light" is a way of uniting the departed heavenly ones with the other sheep, and the other sheep with Jesus. --- okay it's speculation, and convoluted, but convolution is a well-worn WT teaching method! And they'll still only have communion once yearly -- just to keep that "we're different" cachet!)

The blood issue, too. Someone here has pointed out the absurdity of the WTS position as it would appear that the Organization has pinpointed the whereabouts of the "life" that is in the blood, the "soul" which could not possibly be contained in the parts of blood now allowable, or the whole premise of the "life" belonging strictly to Jehovah goes out the window. Look for them to backtrack and make the strong case that transfusing blood IS an organ transplant (allowable) and NOT eating. (So -- no blood sausages/soup in any culture, but transfusions/tissue transplant? OK That will set them apart, still, but without the risk of future lawsuits from the families whose loved ones would have died had the policy remained unchanged.)

Pedophiles will also no longer be tolerated. Too costly in terms of cash money (lawsuits), decline in membership and bad public relations. (Can't have the Society standing still doing nothing just like those Catholics they're always childishly bashing!)

Yes, mainstreaming is the wave of the WT future, in my opinion.

this is a question my df mother would like me to post for her:.

would it be morally right to go back to the jws, even though she doesn't feel it is god's org?

she would do this in order to speak with her life long friends and her youngest daughter, all of whom are quite emotionally distraught due to her dfing.
