we all know that the jw stand on blood transfusions is irrational and dishonest.

one thing that bothered me when reading in search of christian freedom was how the chapter blood and life, law and love, described the enormous quantities of stored blood required to extract the blood fractions now permitted jehovah's witnesses as a "conscience matter.

" once again, witnesses take and take, but do not give anything back but a misguided hope in some future "new world society!".

is anyone here employed either as a public relations rep. or at a large corporation with a vibrant pr dept.?.

in an effort to properly publicize the upcoming do-not-call service, we are in need of a multimedia mailing list.

i know from past experience that something like bacon's or burrelle's lists are pretty much the cream of the crop.

A Day to Thank Yeru (at least Stateside)

didn't want to let memorial day (u.s.)go by without using my newfound (renewed?

) freedom to thank the military personnel who have served to ensure various other freedoms that i enjoy living in this great democracy.. i know only of yeru on this board who is actually in the military, so wanted to single him out.

if there are any others, please accept my gratitude.. my own father was a marine who fought in wwii and the korean conflict.. i have a cousin who was a career officer in the u.s. navy, and other members of my family who served in the navy or marines.

hi, yeru.. you made the point a while back to fredhall that romans 10:13 in the context of romans 10:9-13 proved that yahweh = jesus, because romans 10:13 quotes joel who is speaking about yahweh.

this rattled me -- being a monotheist all my life.

could it be true?

the article talks about how "both david and jesus recognized that it was wrong in god's eyes to take unnecessary risks that could endanger human life.

i have always felt that my goal as a parent should be to raise healthy (where it is up to me), happy, well-adjusted children who will be a credit to society.

for the most part, i think i'm succeeding.

i thought, perhaps, that the link to the court case in missouri where a brother allegedly confessed the rape of his two stepdaughters to two elders in the cabool, missouri se congregation, and where the said elders are refusing to testify due to "minister-communicant confidentiality" should be posted here: http://www.ky3.com.

(coming on the heels of the memorial non-partaking for the vast majority of witnesses and friends "minister-communicant" seems a rather out of place term, doesn't it?).
