  the next cross-border atrocity by rogue militants could easily detonate a conflagration between nuclear-poised india and pakistan.

  YouKNow, Why do we have to wait to make life better? Why not start with ourselves first? Become good citizens of the world and educate those around you to contribute to our home towns or cities. Why would you even consider accepting a god who is so cruel as the bible's god? Don't you see that he is as man made as the paper (or monitor) you read from? Don't you see that it is religion (invented by humans) which actually causes more trouble than all of the feel good spirits is worth? Why do you feel the need to invent a god in your image? Wouldn't that be sacriligious? Take a good look at what you are throwing away... a chance for a good and happy life really helping others in the way men like Pres Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn do even at their advanced ages. This is truly the only life you will have, don't waste it dreaming of the cataclysmic future predicted by other men in an incomplete book. If in all honesty you want to study the Bible then you need to read read some of Robin LaneFox. And another good book for you to read would be The Origins of Satan. In fact, that'd be a terrific place for you to start since you seem to like to discuss things Satanic. Hopefully you are still young enough to turn your life around and learn what true freedom of thought is all about. It is the freedom to contribute yourself into life's stream.

  Now, will humans eventually go the way of the dinosaur. Well, of course we will. But until then I see humanity as having a strong desire to survive. Look at the wonderful people in the world who have truly made a difference. You have the ability to change the world too, one person at a time.

  i thought it might be relevant now as jw's are defending their position on child abuse as being ok. it all boils down to the five questions.

  if the typical jw can answer the five questions truthfully then they are forced to admit there is a problem.

  Bill your questions are excellent. They will "stick" and that's what is important.

  Path you may not have had the unhappy experience of knowing sex offenders. The reason that they are registered and that the public is made aware of a sex offender in their midst is because they (the sex offenders) do repeat their crimes. There is truly no cure (ask a psychiatrist). Many Psychiatrists will not treat sex offenders because of this problem... it is a choice they (the sex offenders) make to do harm to others for gratification to themselves. I think that's important to remember.

  Bill has seen the wounds caused by the men who would like to remain hidden behind their man made position as elders. Child molesters molest because they can. They (as with other rapists) enjoy the power they have over their victims. What better place than a patriarchal religion for these men to commit their deeds?

  Does Watchtower Society monitor this board?

  i have even made that point myself in the past.. my question is this: does the wtbts monitor this discussion board?.

  or have we all been propagating our own xjw urban myth?.

  Okey dokey so now we know that someone who knows someone told them who told us.

  I sincerely hope the bORG tower watches and reads apostate websites. Sooner or later those who monitor will spill the beans to their folks back home or their local cong or girlfriend or boyfriend. Who would be able to keep this information inside, the human need is to share the secret with SOMEBODY.

  Sometimes it takes more than just one instance of WTS lies to budge the borg induced sensitivities. All of us know so many guys who left Bethel service because they were tired of the garbage and double standards.

  Why would they be at the Stanely theater and not Patterson?

  i would like to know some personal experiences with dabbling with hallucigenic drugs as far as seeing a deeper level of conciosness than the one given to you by the jws.

  when i left the jws i was about 17 and my father was one of the main elders.

  so i had to watch my p's and q's so i wouldnt make my father look bad.

  Finding out Who you really are

  good morning everyone,.

  i'm very new on here--just "born yesterday", as a matter of fact, but am finding out how wonderful it is to be able to be free to express thoughts and opinions, share ideas, give comfort, and find hope, within "these walls".. i'm going to ask a question, and that is, how long did it take any of you souls out there to find your true self, after leaving jw's?

  i was very young when i was first introduced to the studies of jw's.

  Sentinel, Welcome to your new sounding board. I enjoyed reading your well written post. The search for yourself "who am I?" will never end if you are speaking philosophically. The Who am I and Why am I questions should be asked and answered differently everyday. Because that means you are open minded to continued learning and new experiences...about yourself and everyone around you. Everyday something else takes precedence. While yesterday it may have been finding employment today will be doing a good job. So those answers become, in a physical sense relatively true. Dear Sentinel you've been free and testing the waters for a long time. The fact that life has gotten in the way is sad and I do grieve with you. But look at you now. From what I read you are strong and full of the kind of love that leads to wisdom. Here is my hand in friendship sister, Panda

  Comforter, My MY my... if you're going to leave why not simply go? Why the swan song? Maybe you want to be convinced to stay. I hope you do stay. Maybe it will be good for you to know that you are always welcome back "NO MATTER WHAT." Keep us in mind if not in your heart.

  BTW the Bible is perhaps the most complete volume of lascivious human behavior ever written . (okay excepting the KamaSutra which is also a holy book!!! WHy are these gods so interested in human reproduction?) Anyway, Mark Twain once commented that a child would be morally ruined if introduced to the Bible at too tender an age.

  baptismal questions from the august 1, 1966 watchtower, p. 465: .

  (1) have you recognized yourself before jehovah god as a sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him, the father, through his son jesus christ?.

  I forgot the date I was baptized !!! I forgot the exact date within the first year I was baptized. I kept thinking that I should ask someone but then I would've been totally embarrassed. As a sect even the Supreme Court has taken to reviewing cases.

  what happened in france 2 or 3 years ago that led to that campaign they had?

  Hey...does anyone know where this action has gone. I know that the case was decided but have there been any appeals? Did the WTS pay the back taxes?

  Wasn't there a state case in Russia about jws causing deaths?

  i was wondering if anyone wanted to come to my defense on this jw discussion board at http://www.beliefnet.org this jw that post as "rosemaybud" is driving me crazy and i am tired of trying to get her off my back.

  she never post about anything much, except to make hateful remarks to me or about me.

  i post as "loveofwaterlilies".
