Freedom is what ultimately won over Communism; Communism was defeated through natural selection. The inquisition and crusades had one key component in common, they all thought God was on their side.

There is no reason to anything, nor is there any justice; there is no God who is wise and loving and who has a plan; your suffering is meaningless, and you just have to get on with it. If you can't, then its just too bad.

Right, because viewing youself as an inferior cursed human, scratching your head about all the religious confusion and what's really true, and why god hasn't acted if he is so loving, gives life so much more meaning and purpose, right?

Interesting, I've never realized that. I have noticed how they always downplay the importance of the great crowd in the washtowers though, yet the last time I checked the great crowd is doing all the heavy lifting, but hey Jeehoover provides!

But the operator is suggesting that they told us to pray through them, I've never heard any instruction like that. They've always said pray through Jesus to my recollection.

i got a kick out of how many times jws were told that the reason something good happened to them was because they recieved "blessings" from jehovah god.

and if they were going through tribulations and tough times, it was quite probably due to their failing in some way.. did you believe jehovah wasw sometimes blessing you or cursing you?.

I always thought I never received holy spirit because of my actions, but then after being in an appointed position and seeing how things operate, I was convinced there was no holy spirit to be found no matter what you did in the WTS, just more burdens and brainwashing.

the bbc want to interview somebody who was part of a faith community but who became an athiest due to information available on the internet.. i am tempted but to be honest the profile doesn't really fit my story.
