I have also found the most religious to be the most haughty. Yet isn't that something warned against in the bible? They are the biggest, blindest hypocrites.
I know that is harsh. Sorry. I try really hard not to stereotype also. Every individual has every opportunity to prove me wrong. I just don't see many devoutly religious people trying to prove me wrong.

the gist of the post was that i thought god's punnishment of the entire human race for the actions of one person, namely adam, was a gross miscarrage of justice.
also that bible tells us of this act, then says that he is a god of love, contradicting it's self.

I must say that since I "lost" god, I'm a much better person. I live for my life and my family's lives. I enjoy life now, considering god isn't going to incinerate me anytime too soon. I breath a hell of a lot easier now and I take life more seriously. Life is truly pressous now that I have control over it.

during the time he was dfd and separated from my mother (church lady) i tried to help him see through to the real colors of the organization.. he has not one spiritual bone in his body and never has.. he really didnt want to discuss it.. i was concerned because i knew that between the organization and my mom he just believed he was a bad person who would be destroyed at armageddon.

I lost my sister to a re-assimulation recently. She actually hasn't told me yet that she has been reinstated. I guess I am suppose to figure it out because now she talks to me about all the "friends" at the kingdom hall. I know I am lucky that she is still speaking to me, but there is no telling how long that will last. She is changing on a daily basis as the assimulation takes hold. I hope that it isn't a permanent condition, but I fear the worst.
Much like your father, she is not a spiritual person. Her reason for going back was blackmail. Her children, who were raised in the truth by her X-husband threatened to stop talking to her. I know that the reason she went back is for the kids. And maybe some sick thought that she will make it through harmagedon even if she isn't sincere.
I know it is torture Ranchette. I completely understand how you feel. Helpless. No matter how many times I tried to talk to my sister she just wouldn't listen. She would litterally talk over me until I shut up and then she would take the conversation elsewere. I have never been so frustrated in my life.

by ghenrymt ini have come to the realization that ultimately, even if we have a support system, we end up in the final analysis facing all of our challenges alone.
god and/or our spirit guides and angels may be there, but how would most of us know?
few are the ones who experience direct contact with the spirit realm.

Have you every heard of Dr. Phil McGraw? He is one of those self-help guru's. A lot of people don't like them, but since I found out about the borg, I have found it helpful to read some of the self-help stuff.
Well Phil has a theory that you touched on. He says that It is true that we got our selves here. We can blame noone but ourselves. BUT,,,, While that is true, it also means that only WE can get ourselves out of the bad places we are in. It makes sense. If I got me here, I can get myself out of here. The question is, what brought you here. Once you find out what was working against the good in your life and change it or get rid of it, you can then work on going forward into a better part of life.
It sounds like you have already started to do this. You've eliminated the borg in your life, you have a plan for the future. You're on your way. You just need a little faith. Faith in you! Trust yourself. We live and we learn. Every day is another lesson. While some lessons suck, you have learned from them all. After what we've been through, it can ONLY get better.
Have faith!
You are the best person for the job, because you are you.

I guess it was just one of those local talks then. My poor mother. She told my youngest sister about the announcement and mourned having to give that up. What is even sadder is that my Oldest sister just got reinstated, and she will probably never hear that one. She is in a different congregation. She has given up everything else though. Her poor husband of so many years doesn't know what hit him. He married one woman and suddenly she is gone, and I'd bet money he is not too happy with her replacement.
It is amazing what mind control can do.
