And yet when members claim they know better than the Watchtower, they are "expelled from the class" so to speak and the rest of the class are told "do not listen to them!".

The utter absurdity of the "universal sovereignty issue", chapter 4,786
by sir82 inso on the jw broadcast channel, there is a new 4 minute video entitled "why does god permit suffering".
i won't give them free advertising by linking to it, but you'll find it under the "latest videos" section.. it looks like it will be something that will eventually be used in field serve-us as a video to show householders.. anyway, it gives the illustration of the teacher and a "rebellious student" who says he has a "better way to solve the problem".
the infinitely wise teacher allows him to try, he fails, and the teacher is "vindicated".. other posts on this site demonstrate how inane the illustration really is - it breaks down nearly effortlessly.. anyway, the video goes on to explain that god allowed "rebellious humans" to continue on because (more or less direct quote) "millions of angels were observing.

If you ever get the chance, read some of the things the Buddha is attributed to have said. A lot of them are basically the same things Jesus said, except Buddha pre-dates Jesus by a bout 500 years.
It's possible that the things Jesus supposedly said were just passed along ideas via the silk road and not at all unique at the time he said them.
I see the Jesus character as, basically, a communist.

Do You Think a Schism is in the Future?
by lepermessiah ini was thinking about this over the weekend.
just this week, there was the "consolidation" talk (in my wife's congregation) , the article about shunning that went viral, and the annual "show your love and obedience to jehovah by giving us your money" watchtower.
i know my wife said people are running scared about this consolidation even though it was sold as maximizing space to help other areas, build kh in other countries, etc...... the media and government has hit them hard in many countries, but they have gotten off easy in the usa, where the majority of the people and money reside.

If a schism is a-comin', ANTHONY MORRIS will have his own.

Clearly, undeniably, without doubt ... is there a term for introducing a thought in such a way.
by jwfacts inwatchtower article often introduce a point that has no merit with words such a "undeniably.".
for instance the watchtower 2014 august 15 page 10 says:.
"jehovah undeniably blesses the preaching work of christian women and supports them in times of trial.

It's actually one the methods used by progressional propagandists. It's called covert hypnosis and works wether it used in speech or in written form.
I notice it A LOT in Watchtower literature, the basically insert their own adjective to convince the reader that they'd be foolish to disagree. Such as:
"wisely"
"Do you wisely destroy apostate literature?"
or
"disloyal"
"Apostates seek to destroy your faith with their disloyal teachings"
Theres a hypnotist called Igor Ledochowski who is the best in the world at this.

disfellowshipped and looking to find someone in the same possition
by whatisgoingonpls inwhere can i find a disfellowshipped wife ;)
-
Teufel
I'm also disfellowshipped and was planning on doing the same as you but after much thought I will wait to get re-established in the organization and then find a good jw wife there, I recommend you to do the same.
You did say much thought right? I suggest you ponder it some more. You actually want to return to the vomit as per Proverbs 26:11?
As a dog returns to its vomit,
so fools repeat their folly.Yh, go find yourself a "good" JW wife who'll love the words of 8 nobodies in New York who she's never met and dont even know she exists over her own husband and kids. Just dont expect a blowjob off her.

JW Jokes
by OnTheWayOut inthey don't want you to donate blood because..... .....it might be within the erection of a homosexual act at any time.
watchtower tried to become the internet service provider of their members...... ......but their virus software kept deleting all but 144,000 select files.
what do you get when you cross a devil worshipper with a jehovah's witness?

Why dont Jehovah's Witnesses celebrate Halloween?
They dont appreciate people knocking on their door uninvited.
Why does the Circuit Overseers wife never get pregnant?
Because he only comes twice a year and when he does it's on the platform.
Why does Jehovah want Anthony Morris in heaven?
Since Satan left he's had no one to kick up the ass.

Pondering the real numbers
by Deltawave ini was sat in the assembly hall yesterday, wondering how many pimo ones like me there was there.
or even if they don't know ttatt still don't believe it for whatever reason.. i think there must be more of (us) there than we all realise.
i mean, brothers reaching out is at an all time low, information via the internet is at an all time high and the preaching work has now become a motionless, speechless babysitting of a book shelf advertising a website as someone here pointed out!.
-
Teufel
Lets do the math:
Average congregation attendance that i remember was about 70 people.
I was PIMO, there was another who was PIMO and a girl who's now left so she must have been PIMO as well. So 3 in 70? 4.28% are wide awake.
If there's 8 million JWs, it'd mean 342,400 of them are just playing along with the farce. And that's just from the congregations, the numbers would jump up if we include Bethels around the world.

There's a million quotes about this, it all boils down to the fact that if you're true to yourself you will at times run into people who dont like you. But then the people who do like you will really like you because you're interesting.
I mean, living a life pleasing everyone is denying the most important person (you) from being genuinely happy.
As far as i know the split of people that like me and dont like me is 50/50 and that's fine.

Today's WT Paragraph 4
by Slidin Fast ini thought that this little gem deserved a thread of it's own.. 4. why is it important for us to be present at the memorial if at all possible?.
4 reflect on the importance of attending the memorial.
remember, congregation meetings are part of our worship.

If only the anointed are to partake then only the anointed should turn up. That would skew their stats wouldn't it?
