Happy birthday Mike3000. Have a Heineken on me!
P.S. I think you're happening Venice!!
i found this surfing around, and thought, whew...these dubs are really making money!!!.

one problem; the site links to a friend of ours right here on this forum.. **confused**.
Hey Ladonna,
I remember that in the parking lot of the District Conventions, there use to be "brothers" selling these bookcovers.
They had a whole table and assortment of binders and covers for mags. and tracts, door to door slips and what not.
And boy were they making $$. I used to be a "Captain" in the parking lot assignment and I used to see these bro's pulling "knots" of bills out of their pockets.
Guess I'm in the wrong business!

*** when asked why she is reading some publication during the meeting instead of paying rapt attention to her husband speaking from the platform, the c.o.
's wife responds, "oh what the heck, i hear that talk over and over.".
*** when brother prominent elder is asked why he keeps having business dealings with brothers in the congregation (he thus causes lots of problems that the boe has to keep wasting time on), he replies, "well, we all have to make a living.".
Can she kick her leg up?
i've posted several times about how i'm fed up with the witnesses but my wife won't budge.
she's become a bit more tolerant lately, but mostly we get along better when we don't talk about anything substantive.
i've been working up the nerve to tell the elders why i don't go out anymore.
Volt,
Noone can tell you what to do just give you our opinions.
But I tell you man, when it come to women...I'll be DAMNED if Im giving up my Latin Queen..helllll noo!!
You know theres nothing left of your wife ..its like when the Borg in star trek take over..thats it..if you hang around you'll be next...resistance is futil!
Take advantage of whats going on. Don't live your life regretting not taking life by the horns. Damn that..if it's a mistake, you'll learn from it. But you'll never know until you give it a shot.
It's true you know....All men must die...but few ever really LIVE!

badwillie wrote the following experience about an ignorant comment from a do:.
case in point:.
a friend received a full scholarship from a local college to study to become a veternarian.
In a Circuit assembly after lunch some kid in the front of the hall had a helium ballon from Wendys' and accidently let it go.
Everyone was looking up following the balloon until the C.O. who was giving the talk got upset (unaware of the balloon) and said:
It be nice if everyone would pay attention instead of day dreaming. I mean what are you looking at?...are there angels coming down from heaven or something?..."
And thats when someone yelled outloud what the fuss was about and then he went inot a little talk about how you cant bring these "foolish" things into Gods house.
Retard.

in response to people like sexyteen, i point out that most witnesses.
are just naive, child-like people willing to believe most anything.
their leadership tells them.. however, watchtower leadership is genuinely evil.. why?
Thats Right Met, you tell 'em!
Regarding point #1: Its like Ray Franz says in his book(CF) If a marraige is falling apart, would you hurry to make sure that the wedding ring is saved ? the ring being the symbol of marraige?
Or would you try to save the marraige?
So why not use the Symbol of life-blood to save the actual life?
Kind of stupid not to, huh?

does this trouble anyone?.
it seems semantic tom-foolery to declare a war on terrorism, and then to say that prisoners of the war are not prisoners of war.. it also seems very suspect keeping them of proper usa soil, as where they are they are out of sight, mind, or appeal by civil-rights factions.. do not get me wrong.. i am not saying, "ah, poor ickle terrorists".. but in a war against terror, surely taking each and every opportunity to distance yourself from your enemies is the wisest and best course of action?.
why do anything that is even remotely dodgy or underhand?.
Thanks for that Seeker, its very interesting.
first i would like to make an apology to bill for my questioning his motives.
i do not have enough evidence to make a claim on this point.
i allowed emotion to weigh into this statement rather than clear thinking.. i will stand by my questioning of some of his judgements regarding disclosure of information and how it was presented, although i will temper that by saying that again i am working on limited data.. i try very hard to keep things from getting personal when i disagree with someone's ideas, feeling or thoughts.. in reviewing my posts to him i have determined that i failed to do that on this issue.. joel
It takes a big man to apologize JB.
Your alright in my book.

GODDAMNIT!!!!!
Really who the hell cares? Some of you act like its a God damn crime to take these prisoners to an offshore Prison.
Thats right screw 'em all friggin bastards! Don't you understand that the reason that we're still here is because they don't have the power to stop us?
For crying out loud, what does it matter where the hell they're being held at?
Do any of you think that the Al-queda would be as worried to how we would feel being locked up in their jails?
Do you? Do you think that they'll call the Red-Cross to examine us?
Do you think that they did not rejoice when the towers came down? Do you think that they said: ":lets crash the planes into them at night to get less casualties?
Be glad that you live in a country that allows you to debate this point of view. If you don't like them being off shore then write to your congressman about it or get the hell out of the USA.
Until you've been on the other side of automatic gunfire and sleeping through bombs and flares going off at all hours of the night, your instinct will be to debate these petty issues.
Go into combat and see what these peoples' frame of mind are and you'll be thinking just like I do:
Line 'em all up against the wall and let 'em have it...f**k the blind fold, they can see it coming!@

Agree with Seeker 100%
I'll tell you this Abaddon: those captured and brought to Cuba are being treated like royalty compared to what we would get treated if it were the other way around.
Trust me...Don't noooooobody what to be held up in an Afganistanian prison. So don't worry to much about them, they'll be alright.
Mav.- ....Whose been there and done that!
