for me it was watching a brother have a heart attack during the meeting in the auditorium.
i was a kid and noticed him shaking and acting strange.
I no doubt have a number of things in the old memory banks, but one I remember was a young girl always wanted to go to the "bathroom" as many Americans call it, we call it the "Euphemism" here in the U.K. LOL. her father tried to leave it until at least a Song was on the go or something, one day the little kid had had enough of this, so she told him she wanted to go, he said wait, so she just stood up and pissed on the carpet !
He always rushed her straight out as soon as she asked after that !

I'm long done with it too ! I don't think that any creating of Doctrine along mad Freddy lines, re-interpreting old meanings of "Bible Prophecies" would have any effect on recruitment, or retention. I do think the Org will have to move with the times or wither away over the next few years. The Internet will finish them wherever it is available, unless they get a grip.
To keep trying to maintain Control by denying Education to JW's will not wash when it will be plain that just to live a reasonable life, everyone needs some marketable skills to get a reasonably paying job. Minimum wage JW's will be rare, and of course, foolish.

It is funny to think that Fred Franz is the last "Scholar" who produced stuff for the G.B to print. he had no formal Education in the matters he was pontificating on, was not able to read N.T Greek in any great measure, and was a very strange chap. I think he was Autistic to some degree.
He certainly caused the org to take directions that have done it more harm than good, the Blood Doctrine and 1975 being the biggest load of dangerous crap he came out with.
Now the Org is floundering because they have no one coming up with ideas to keep the Org seemingly going along with Big J's "Chariot", it is all now down to re-hashing old stuff, desperate things like the overlapping Generation, and stressing we are in the last minutes of the Last Days.
Even when I was still in, I felt that real " Spiritual Food" was entirely lacking, and its got worse !
why do the elders always stress to the rank and file members of the congregation how important meeting attendance is, as well as the importance of always paying attention to every word that's being presented from the slave?
but then, during the meeting, they rarely sit and pay attention themselves to the wonderful spiritual banquet being presented?

i have been thinking about the legal departments that look after the wts interests around the world.i can`t believe these legal eagles offer their services on a voluntary basis like the r&f do.and i don`t believe their services would come cheap.. as an organization the size of jw.org and its offshoots of companys and interests around the world ,the cost of keeping them gainfully employed must amount to a considerable sum of money.. especially the law suits against them with child abuse court cases that arise on a regular basis ,and the government inquiry`s into the jw religion that is happening in different countries now.. all paid for by the voluntary contributions that come from the r&f for the worldwide preaching work .. contributions to pay for the wt organization`s legal department to defend themselves in court ?.
did jesus and the apostles pay lawyers to defend them in a court of law with funds donated by their supporters ?.
They have just lost a case they fought all the way to the Supreme Court in Sweden. They were charged under a Swedish Law for showing Videos that were harmful to children. They Lost ! Ha Ha, those videos are as harmful as the old pictures in the Books showing people dying at Armageddon were to us.
More donation $$$ and Kroner down the drain.
Should they show those Videos anywhere now that children are in attendance ? NO !

i drank a whole bottle of cold duck, after a long hot subway ride back to brooklyn.

Perhaps I could suggest a way, that I have thought of, that they could extend the claim that we are living in " The Last Days", but I will not do so, they may take up my idea !

The other hopeful new treatment may well come from the Llama/ Alpaca group of animals. They have been proven to develop Nano antibodies, tiny ones, that act against the Virus, and earlier iterations of it. This will probably have to be administered as a method of fighting against the disease, not a prophylactic, and I guess will involve the transfusion of Blood, so J.W's will die through lack of it.

I really cannot remember the first time, but it was without doubt in my early Teens,and an embarrassing number of times subsequently. The funny one I remember was when we were staying at a friends Apartment, just the wife and I , we had no kids then, and the guy whose Flat it was ended the evening of long drinking by us sharing a bottle of fine Whisky.
In the morning, I visited the Bathroom/Toilet, as you do, still thoroughly pissed, and forgot the door SLID, I tried to pull it open, in the process managed to pull the handle off, and fell back in to the Bath, laughing like an idiot !
