You didn't really say the Freemasons and illuminati are conspiring against Bible literalists (ie. you) did you? The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Do JW wedding vows provide a "way out"?
by Gopher inas many of you know, i just got married for a second time about two weeks ago.
i noticed a sharp distinction in the marriage vows as read to us by a justice of the peace when compared to the vows written by the wt society for jw weddings.. the traditional vow, as read by the jop, included the phrase "i take (insert name), (insert good and bad circumstances), until death do us part".. the jw vow says something to this effect: "i take (insert name), (insert other stuff), as long as we both shall live together under (or "according to") god's marital arrangement.".
the traditional vow sounds quite permanent to me.

Another solution is for God to make each
succeeding generation smaller in body size. In a dozen generations humans will be 6inches tall and everyone can go on procreating with no worries about the cat eating us as they will be vegetarians right? -

The two views are that because Genesis says,
" FILL the earth and subdue it" we have no
reason to anticipate human procreation going
on indefinitely. Or the view of Freddie,
that the Genesis mandate was merely phase one
of a much grander sceme to populate the universe.
See the "prince of peace" book. I remember
asking a woman who was married to an "anointed" man about
how she felt about "soon" becoming a widow. She was visibly disturbed by the prospect. The best part is that the official view of marriage in the New World is that only those that put off
marriage and family have reason to expect God to allow
them marry. Among my friends we discussed this
an concluded that we would have 2 subspecies of humans on earth, those that feel romantic love and have a libido and those
who are like my strange uncle Vinny and seem contect to pla ards and read the Bible all day. -

The word of God makes it clear to us that abortion is not a sin.
by Abaddon innot until god gave man his first breath did he become a living soul.
the verses in genesis are not the only verses in the bible to make this clear.
abortion is not a sin, though blasphemy and idolatry are.

Your right I was not aware that the morning after pill worked by preventing implantation. I guess I didn't think about how it worked, I just imagined it was nearly instantaneous. This takes place a couple days later (if not spontaneously aborted). So my arguement is flawed.

Yes back in the 70's they changed the vows a couple times, reflecting a difference of opinion about marriage in the "new world" and marriage to "annointed" ones. The current vows include the part," as long as we shall live together on earth, according to god's marrital arrangement." This seemed to satisfy all, due to it's ambiguity. Presently (post Fred Franz) they hold that marriage and procreation will cease when the earth is full. I had passionate discussions about this with Gangus years ago.

I was reading a bit about conception and found it not the tidy arrangement I thought it was. First, it is not at the moment a sperm penetrates the egg wall that the two geneomes mingle, it takes 24-48 hrs for the DNA to mingle. If two or more sperm penetrate nearly simultaneously (happens fairly often) it takes an additional 24-48 hrs to sort out the mess. Even those who see conception as the moment of human life are therefore forced to accept that no new unique genome is formed by the union of sperm and egg for 24-96 hours. The morning after pill or the big birth control pills do not in any way then end a life, but merely prevent it from developing.

Made from Monkeys or from Dirt
by Satanus inthe bible states mankind was made by god from plain old dirt.
science however, has shown that we are in the nieghborhood of 98% monkey (chimpanzee).
was god lazy, in that he didn't start from scratch in making people, but used animal parts to assemble the human body?

Sirona...you have chosen a very popular path. A path which denies scientific method and inspiration.

SS...People are free to make decisions. It is also true that those decisions affect society. It it only good and wise for all of us to desire those choices to be informed ones.
BTW..the newest particle accellerators being built will be able to create mini-black holes routinely for study broadening our understanding of subatomic physics. -

Were You Ever A Bible Student???
by minimus indid you consider yourself a real student of the bible, one who regularly read the scriptures, with a view to helping others learn the "truth" of god's word?

Yes, I was the "go to guy" for difficult calls. I studied and studied but kept hitting a wall. Finally I peeked at the other side of the wall and read some sources of the quotations in the WT in context. I read the books at the 124 library in bethel at night. Hoping to find confirmation that the WT was right, instead I found the sources to be dishonest, nuts, or out of date. When I and my wife were the only ones in our hall to recognize "new" interpretation of scripture in the WT we wondered why. Didn't others do research and check past references? Immediately I recognized this was taking me in a dangerous direction.

No scanner...and I am a little concerned about posting it if I could. The quotations are real, and nothing relevant was left out.
