Peter Jennings has just reported at 1:00am eastern time on ABC news that the speculation of the 4th plane being shot down is still an open question though the Pentagon had denied that notion earlier today.

Appropriate Memorial
by BoozeRunner inin view of todays tragedy, i sincerely hope that all remaining wtc buildings are destroyed, and a memorial placed on the spot.
i think it would be appropriate, and this is something i sincerely hope none of us forget.
no matter what race, religion, or color of the victims, my heart goes out to all families who lost loved ones.

It's 1am and I just watched a fairly long video of todays events on ABC news. One woman mentioned all the children who lost parents today. That is so true. I to would hope a memorial will someday be placed there.

Pinch ME Please I Must be Dreaming!

nothing as devistating has happened during my lifetime.
although for some of you in countrys where terriosm is an everyday occurence i now can see the horror and heartache you must deal with on a daily basis.

Tatiani, I wondered about the 2 airlines that were used. I found it curious all 4 flight originated in the east and going to CA. I however, did not hear anything or put together myself the 911, American, United thing. Thanks for sharing that. Creepy

The movie Arlington Road kept coming to my mind in light of todays events. It was about American Terrorists who had a sort of "secret society" to collaborate such attacks. I do agree that it would be hard to believe this could all be orchestrated without any help from people -alot of people from inside the US- assuming it was originated outside of the US at all. I can't fathom with todays technology these events could of taken place with such precision without "inside help". It scares me to think however, todays violence could have contained nuclear, biological or chemical weapons which would of made for a much worse scenario and as I watched the news on todays events unfold I really thought we were going to hear of these attacks all across the US. I said in an earlier post, I wonder if there may of been more hijackers who got grounded when our aviation was shut down today.

Cassiline, Just wondered if you read Logical's thread called "WHOAH".
It will give you the creeps about the "911".
Also, I'm glad to know US not involved with Aphganistan bombings today. They were showing it on TV as "breaking news". I thought it was something new though I didn't mean to sound as if I was speculating who was doing the attacks in my post back to you- just my disbelief on all of todays events. Sorry if any misunderstanding. -

other side of the coin
by spider inperhaps i will be attacked for this thread, i am not sure.i am as shocked as can be by the terrorist atrosity perpetrated today.i have watched all afternoon and evening and still can't quite take it in.. i have heard the people involved described as evil cowards in the west.i accept this statement and as i have aleady stated deplore the action but i feel that the media only shows one side of the coin.. the pilots that commited suicide were certainly not cowards.they believed in their cause enough to give their lives for it.these, along with the many that orchestrated this event put a lot of time, money and sacrifice in to this.. this is the part of the story i am unclear about.this is the part which is not being explained - at least not to my feeble understanding.. why do so many of the middle eastern countries hate the west as much as they do.sure iraq has good reason but what about the others.. there are two sides to every story and as much as i hate what has happened i wonder what theirs is.why do they dance on the streets now?
america has bombed countries.in serbia to get rid of milosivich.they must have hated america then but this was out of a lack of information.. i do not believe evil exists - evil acts but not evil as an entity.it is all too easy when asked why atrosity is performed to simply answer - the person was evil.there has got to be more to it than that.
what brought about these murderous acts.was it the kind of mind control that was perpetrated on us as witnesses.after all, the witnesses would take delight in the coming armageddon when billons of people will die.. is this evidence of a similar condition?.

Just a FYI: our Pittsburgh news station reported around 11:30pm that the Pittsburgh Islamic (church) via letter expressed their joint sorrow to the tragedy and they are supportive of US efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. They do however ask that until the culprits are pinpointed, if news/media could refrain from speculation on who did this (as so much focus has been thwarted towards the middle east/islamic faith)until it is pinpointed who actually did orchestrate the attacks.

Radar, I'm confident on my info. It was talked about on the Pittsburgh, PA news stations though I haven't heard them say much about it on the world news. Just an FYI. I doubt it's a rumor.(incase you did want to post info elsewhere)
