  so today is my birthday.

  one of my "worldy" friends invited me over his house cause he thought being alone on my birthday was horrible.

  we all had ice cream sunday's and we played words with friends, nothing extravagant but a way to recognize that i was born today.

  Did field service ever scare any one.

  i was always scared somewhat by who i might meet at the door.. where i live we just had a mom murdered with her two young sons.

  it is really sad, from what i just read in the paper the husband and wife took in this young man he was 22 years old and needed a place to stay.

  he had been with them for months and had celebrated christmas and thanksgiving with all the family, etc.

  when I used to go with my folks I was so happy they went to a congregation FAR away from our neighborhood. I would have died of fright if we had knocked on one of my classmates' doors. I caught enough grief over the flag salute and holidays. I cannot imagine how bad it would have gotten if I had actually shown up at one of those assholes' homes.

  Terrible conduct by congregation Elders in hospital room !

  my uncle was rushed to the hospital last tuesday with severe stomach pain.

  (he was diagnosed with colon cancer one year ago.

  the doctors, family,and my uncle decided against colon surgery.

  If that elder had said anything like that to one of MY family members I would have kicked in his ass and made him into the hospital's newest patient. What an ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  i don't know where to start.

  hoping to find a place to ventilate my feelings of long period... language is a barrier as english is not my primary language, i will still give it a try.. baptized in 2000, the message they brought to me was the end of world that everyone were talking to at that eve of millennium... i believed and started reading my first book, my bible story, for consecutive 10 hours.

  during the bible study, the bible instructor told me he suspected i had some form of mental disorder, and later was diagnosed as schizophrenia.

  Were You In A Constant State Of Worry As A Witness?

  looking back, did you find yourself always worried about what was going to happen to you if you made a mistake or you even exercised your own "bible trained conscience"?.

  When I was a kid I was worried that either I would die at Armageddon if my folks failed to live up to all of it or that they might die if I was a failure.

  By my teen years I was not really firm in the beliefs but because of the hounding I finally got baptized. I did try hard to earn my salvation but eventually realized what a hypocrite I was becoming. I worried that I would be destroyed for going to porn shops and for renting xxx video tapes. I got into the aux pioneer thing every spring and tried to be good but I would without fail masturbate, then crave my particular kind of porn and go through the cycle all over again.

  Then I met my wife and we got into some swapping and other fun activities. We kept this stuff under our hat and the stupid elders never found out. She tries to keep her faith but sees that it is all such BS. We are fading quietly. Well me not so much. I am just being very snarky...LOL

  i think it has to be the way they treat disfellowshipped persons.

  as another thread, they simply ignore the person as if they're dead!.

  The service overseer at the now defunked Foothill Farms, CA congregation used to criticize the brothers who did not earn at least $20,000 per year while he lived in a trailer park. That is kinda rude but what he did that really hit a nerve in me was screw some of the pioneers after service. Ya, he would invite one to his trailer and take her for a swim at the swimming pool then have sex with her in the room next to where his bed ridden wife lay sick. He even went so far as to steal away the wife of an elder. They moved to the area from Canada and one day the new elder got a note from his wife. She simply stated that she had LEFT him.

  What she did was move in with Service Overseer DON SERGEANT. They were banging away in the same house his wife was bed ridden in. And each meeting this shark would comfort the elder whose wife he had stolen. When the shi* hit the fan it was a scandal and a half. But the biggest scandal was that Sergeant and his slut were reinstated after they married.

  New Locks on the Door

  i have to say that when my father in law asked us for a key to our apartment with the idea of "helping" my sick wife i did not like the idea at all.

  my wife was all for it though so against my protests she went ahead and gave him one.

  well with him behaving more and more like a junkie things have finally come to an ugly head.. a little background info.... my wife's dad has been on heavy pain meds for decades now.

  one pioneer sister in my former hall is well known for her thriftiness.

  once she made chocolate chip cookies using bacon grease instead of butter.

  she claimed they were delicious, but no one else wanted to eat them.
