We all know how JW brag about their strong internal love. All are treated equal no matter rank, color, money, status etc. Is this really true? What did you experience?

One sisters fanatic stunt makes my mission progressing...maybe?
by Cirkeline ini sooo much enjoy being with my girls after i got reinstated last fall.
i use pretty much energy (days and nights) thinking on how to serve small drops of ttatt (the truth about the truth) to them without going to far and make them feel uncomfortable.
we have a very good relationship now, and they have accepted that i very seldom attend the meetings, but it is'nt ruining our relationship.

Black sheep: I know, its a balance. Not to jeopardise my chances. I emphasize how important it is to accept and love the differences in people, respect different ways of thinking and living, not labeling and judge. And I feel that the message has been prospering in their minds. I know my eldest has been more aware of how the WT try to manipulate us to be judging people that dont agree in everything coming from Brooklyn. I have made my eldest aware of the loaded language in our literature, and she gets it. And she is perfectly ok with me having this apostate friend. She knows she is a good person. My next goal is to get my daughter to read her book. But that is longterm.
S2S: Congrats with your undercover reinstatement. I wish you luck on your mission. My guess... Our type is in every cong. It would have been lovely if we could identify eachother. But I can only speak for myself. I get i little "paranoid" and watch my back not to be busted. I had second thoughts posting on this forum, afraid of being recognised by JW who know me. But the chances are very small anyone of my JW connections in my country read this. Thats why I chose this forum, far away from Scandinavia!

I sooo much enjoy being with my girls after I got reinstated last fall. Last meeting was memorial, and before that on in december. Elders have tried to make an appointment for sheperding visit, but I have thanked no, in a nice way which for now has been respected. BTW, I made a thread on that subject, but its gone!? Did I break any rule or something? Well, anyhow,
Then something helpfull happends.... I have a good friend who is an officially known apostate in my country. She has done some tv-programs, and been interviewed often, and has written a book about her upbringing, awakening, and exit from the cult. She's also a psycologist and have her own practice. Last week I "liked" her new facebook-profile on her psycologist-practice. The next day my eldest daughter texts me telling that a sister who we both are on facebook with, had unfriended me, her and my other daughter + 8 other JV-facebook-friends because I had linked to this apostate person. She argued that she might be the reason that some of her fb-friends accidentally would click on the link while "snooking" and get to read some of this apostates dreadfull stuff, she would not be found "guilty" of this, so better stop the chain. She wrote this to all of them, but not to me, the source. (Im sorry about my bad english formulating, I hope you understand the broad strokes) Another sister, her best friend, did the same, and she called me two days later saying she was seriously worried about me for sympathising with this person, and she urged me to go and talk to the elders to get some help!!!! And, if I did not go to the elders within a week, then the elders would be contacting me!!!!!!! So obviously she has taken this serious matter to the elders!!!Then she told me how much she loves me, and I mean alot to her and so on. I was prepared for this conversation because my daughter told me she would call. I just calmly thanked her for her concerns, that I liked her too, but I really could not see why all this fuss about nothing. And I have to tell, I did "unlike" this incriminating site just to calm people down and send the signal that I do not want to provoce. My apostate friend knows it does'nt change our relationship.
So 6 of the 8 Jw also unfriended me without telling me why. But not my girls! Both of them thinks this is a crazy reaction by these two sisters. And my son in law were so p....d when he heard, he almost called this sister to tell her his thaugths about it in big letters. My daughter talked him out of it. My youngest daughter, to comfort me after this idiotic incident, invited me down to her that night and we had a great evening, dining out together. So this is a good thing! They get to see the fanatism, how some (many) are completely brainwashed and unable to think for them selves. But the best part: My apostate friend was interviewed in a two hours long program broadcasted thru out the whole country this saturday. The subject was ofcours JW. I had'nt told my eldest about it. Then, half an hour in the program she text me that she and her husband was listening to the program and they both think she's reasonable and objective about things!!! I can't tell how happy this made me! I had them over this sunday, we had a great time, but we did'nt talk about it. My youngest would'nt understand and accept it at this moment. But overall, I can feel especially my eldest, there is some increacing light opening her mind gradually. Of cours I know it can be a long way, but I really feel optimistic about it! Just wanted to share with you

Is worship deserved?
by goddidit inanyone know the jw explanation for this:.
so supposedly, god exists outside of space and time.
or, god wasn't created and didn't create itself, it just always was, or something.... ignoring any logical issues for a moment, if this is true, why does it deserve any worship for this?.

"That is tyranny defined!"
Amen to that!
If you love somebody, if you love someone.....set them free, free free, set them free!

Most people imagine their god as of a great loving father. Most parents want to raise their children into loving, caring persons with a sound self-esteem, independent and strong individuals, fit for life. These parents expect their children to grow up and leave home. Loving parents respect that their children have different goals/dreams not forcing them in to a special direction pointing at their own not fullfilled ones, and they support them no matter what!. Would a loving father want their children to fear him? Would he force them to follow his rules because of fear of the gross consequenses if they did not? Would he shun his shild if he/she chose another path in life? Loving parents dont threat their children into obedience. If they did, it would be a total fake form of respect or "love"they would get in respons from their offspring and once grown up they would likely keep neccesary contact more of plight than of warm feelings. I know what kind of parents I would prefer, and these parents do not correspond with the almighty god presented in the bible OT/NT who after my opinion is described as a pretty immature, revengefully, violent, selfabsorbed narcissist Truly great personalities who really make a difference, who contributes to society in a positive way are most likely humble persons who do not want the fuss or attention to their own persona. These are the persons we like, want to be with, respect, love. Persons that do not have to threat with bad consequenses to get attention and respect. Show me this god, and I will feel comfortable supporting and showing the proper respect and love. That would come quite naturally I guess.

Movies that resonate with you as an ex-JW or awake JW
by RayPublisher inthe matrix - "do you want the blue pill or the red pill?
", "all i offer you is the truth", "ignorance is bliss", "the matrix is all around us".
shutter island - creepy, is it real or isn't it, it turns out the whole thing is a dream.

Pleasantville! Two teenage siblings are dragged into a TV-show from the 50'ies in black and white. Everyone in this town is perfectly alright with no colors, they dont know anything else. The siblings make serious problems in this nice town whose mainstreet is a loop, no streets leading out of the town....,trying to introduce colors and passion in peoples lives. A must see. Talk about cognitive dissonance!

Hi, everybody!
by thomyorke ini am from russia, and i've ben a jw for a 19 years of my life, since my early childhood.last 5-6 years that i spend my time in the organization, it was only because my family, close friends, and a girlfriend.i've been a pioneer for a 6 years, but my favorite kind of ministry was construction of kingdom halls!
(because there was a lot of humour, creative young people, young and pretty sisters, etc.
;)i still have very good memories about that period...nearly before i finally quit, i was disfellowshipped for a 1 year and 4 months.in that time i 've reed a "crisis of concience" and "in search for christian freedom", and give those book to my mom,she already was inactive, and having a serious doubts.but i was too naive!i decided to comeback into organization- cause of my girlfriend and friends.and remain there as a "double agent" or a spy))i had to pass through all the way to be reinstated...when i 'came back', i had a bad surprise: the elders decided that i need to study some publications again, for my "reabilitation".

I went. 2 months since last time. I show up once in a while to ease my girls. Came one hour late though. They'd changed the meeting-time since new year, ups, did not know that. So that was a short meeting. Very convinient. Did'nt have the study magazine, but the kind lady next to me shared hers with me. It was an article preparing us NOT to drink the wine and eat the bread at memorial!!!! And I got the new study-wt-mags. Oh well, the weather was beautifull here today, so enjoyd the walk to the kh, and back home. Hopefully I can wait another 2 months till next time.

Every day that goes by in this rotten old system is just one day closer to Jehovahs new world.
by life is to short ini grew up hearing this all the time.
it made me wish my life away, not look at the small joys every day of life brings to all of us.
instead i looked at all the bad there was in the world, my life, etc and blamed it all on satan.

I remember a CO advicing us to put all our wishes for joyfull activities and need for studying things (education) in a imaginary treasure box. Everything we loved and would want to do we should put into this box.We could look into this box from time to time and dream about it, but make sure our dreams stayed inside the box and lock it up.
This treasure box was only to be opened for real when we got into the new system, because then there were no limits for all the time and opportunity we would have for all the interesting and joyfull stuff we could fill our life with. He emphesized there were no time for these things in this rottend world. We should use all our time, strenght, and mind, focusing on preaching, and theocratic activities. He had a treasurebox himself, and told us specifically what was in it. Cant remember the content of his box, but I remember that feeling inside, exactly as you put it - Life is to short - that they try really hard to suck all the joy of life out of you. So sad sad and sad.

Thank you Zid.
Loved the similarity of growing roses - de-brainwashing people. It takes time, and one needs to take the right steps at the right time.
I wrote her yesterday. Cant wait for the answer. Will keep you updated. Can't appreciate enough this possibility to discuss, and get advice from people who knows exactly what its all about!
