I was about to cut him some slack and say "hey, anyone can buy a bottle of scotch" but then he went about bought like 8 fucking bottles!
My next question is, where did the money come from?
i was howling watching cedars latest video of tm111 buying a dozen bottles of scotch ((maccallans scotch).
you can't write this stuff.
right, i'm now off to buy a bottle of maccallans đ..

a study of religious retention ratesâthat is, what percentage of people raised in a particular church or religion stay with it when they are grownâis quite interesting.
https://www.patheos.com/blogs/geneveith/2012/07/religious-retention-rates/.
jdubs have alittle over 36%.
That confirms the Reddit pages claim that only 33% of born in's stay.
got this surprise in my letter box today.just got my personal invite for the memorial this year, through the letter box!
i am pimo.
goes to show how little info they have on me.they do not even know where i live and so thinking it is a "worldy" persons house pushed one through.
Yes they letter dropped the whole street. Didnt knock a.single door.
A cummon now scriffmcbuff, you remember how it was. Feather-knocking and posting them through to get rid of the stack of invites you were allocated. And there was always some old biddy or asshole MS going back making a show of getting yet more invites from the desk because they'd used theirs up already.
What a massive waste of time that was.
I've never received an invitation since I've left. But then I'm regarded as a mentally diseased apostate who's a womanizer and a godless man... which to be fair to them is true apart from the mentally diseased bit.
i actually visited the kh a few days ago.
i just needed to see some friends.
i hadn't been in months.
I'll never set foot in a KH again in my life.
Not even for a funeral.
I find JWs just wierd now that I'm out and a happy critical thinker.
i happened to be in my old town last week, i decided to drive past my old kh in n.wales,.
to my suprise there was a large 'for sale' sign hanging off it!.
this is a semi-remote area with the nearest other kh's a good 30 mins in every direction.
And yet only the other day a JW on Quora.com claimed âwe canât build Kingdom Halls fast enough, weâre the fastest growing religion on earthâ đ
did anyone else notice this?.
tony tightpants has the "morning worship" featurette in the march jw broadcast.. he appears to be hoping that someone will be videotaping the slaughter of 7 billion men, women, and children at armageddon.. quote is something like "we have some really good videographers here at bethel, but i don't think even they could capture what will happen.
still, all things are possible with god..." (not exact, but that is the gist).. and of course morris imagines himself as one of the "anointed", who will be the ones, per wt doctrine, to conduct the slaughter.. it takes a special kind of hubris, arrogance, and sadism to wish that you yourself could be filmed in the act of slaughtering billions of people.. i've encountered a lot of jws with "dark souls", but based on his public comments, i'd say morris has teh blackest one i've seen.. if he says stuff like this for broadcast to 8 million + jws, what does he say in private?
Imagine having him as your father in law.
not that i spend much time on the cult's website, but i like to skim through their latest propaganda to make sure i'm up to date with their nuttiness.
(and when i say skim, i mean just that.
the wafer thin, dumbed down content can be read in like 2 mins flat).. i just had to share my thoughts on the above piece of trash.. no.

No. 2 2019 | Six Lessons Children Need to Learn
According to Watchtower, children need to be:
Controlled (?!!)
Humble
Resilient
Responsible
Mature
Honest
The one that jumped from the page the most though was when they discussed the subject of "Humility". It reads:
WHAT IS HUMILITY?
Humble people are respectful. They do not behave arrogantly, nor do they expect others to treat them as special. Rather, a person with humility takes genuine interest in others and is willing to learn from them.
Sometimes humility is misjudged as a weakness. In reality, it is a strength that helps people recognize their faults and acknowledge their limitations.
WHY IS HUMILITY IMPORTANT?
Humility benefits relationships. âOverall, humble people are more connected to others,â says the book The Narcissism Epidemic. It adds that such people find it âeasier to relate to other people and the wider world.â
Humility benefits your childâs future. Learning to be humble will help your child both now and later in lifeââfor example, when seeking employment. âThe young person with bloated self-esteem, unaware of her own deficiencies, is unlikely to do well in the job interview,â writes Dr. Leonard Sax. âBut the young person who is genuinely interested in what the recruiter has to say is more likely to get the job.â *
Now this is where it gets culty:
HOW TO TEACH HUMILITY
Encourage a balanced view of self.
BIBLE PRINCIPLE: âIf anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deceiving himself.âââGalatians 6:3.
Avoid misleading maxims. Sayings like âAll your dreams can come trueâ and âYou can be anything that you want to beâ might sound inspiring, but they often do not prove true in real life. Your children will likely be more successful if they have reasonable goals and work hard to achieve them.
Yes, according to Watchtower, if your children have any hopes and dreams it's best to just dash those hopes and dreams to pieces and remind them that they're not special or unique at all.
Praise specific actions. Simply telling a child that he or she is âawesomeâ does not encourage humility. Be specific.
Limit your childâs use of social media. Often, social media is linked with self-promotionââbroadcasting a personâs talents and accomplishmentsââthe very opposite of humility.
Encourage your child to apologize quickly. Help your child to see where he is wrong and to acknowledge it.
Promote gratitude.
BIBLE PRINCIPLE: âShow yourselves thankful.âââColossians 3:15.
Gratitude for creation. Children should appreciate nature and how much we depend on it for survival. We need air to breathe, water to drink, and food to eat. Use these examples to instill appreciation, awe, and gratitude for the wonders of the natural world.
Gratitude for people. Remind your child that everyone is superior to him in one way or another and that instead of being jealous of othersâ skills and abilities, he can learn from them.
What the actual fuck?
Expressing gratitude. Teach your children to say âthank you,â not just with words but with genuine appreciation. A grateful spirit has been called a building block of humility.
Teach your children that there is value in serving others.
BIBLE PRINCIPLE: âWith humility consider others superior to you, as you look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interests of others.âââPhilippians 2:3, 4.
Expect your child to do chores. Exempting your child from family chores might give him the message, âYou are too important to do this!â Family duties should come first, and playing second. Point out how chores benefit others and how others will appreciate and respect him for doing them.
Emphasize that serving others is a privilege. Doing so is a primary way to develop maturity. Therefore, encourage your child to identify those in need. Discuss with him what he can do to help them. Commend and support your child as he serves others.
I wonder where they expect the child to serve?... I think we all know the answer to that one.

when i was a faithful jw i was pretty much obsessed with the mormon religion.
to me it was like lord of the rings.
i knew the characters, the history, the events, the joseph smith stories, the religion's history etc etc etc and i long suspected even then that the watchtower society has been copying certain things from the lds church.. for example, the first thing i noticed was when the book study was dropped and family worship was started.
...and they could learn a great deal about raising money.
Watch this space, Slim. It's long been my suspicion that they'll introduce tithing eventually. They'll need to in order to survive. Although they'll maybe call it by another name. They're already doing something similar by forcing the congregation to pay a lump sum each month after "lovingly cancelling their loans".

For example, the first thing I noticed was when the book study was dropped and family worship was started. The Mormons have been doing Home Family Evening for decades before the JWs. https://www.lds.org/topics/family-home-evening/purpose?lang=eng&old=true
And of course, the door knocking. Mormons have been doing this since the 1830s.
When I was in, I used to openly say that the website (remember the old one) was rubbish and the Mormons had a slick, brilliant one with all their books and resources on there. Next thing you know JW. org comes along and their setup is almost identical.
Then there's the silver edition of the NWT. The Book of Mormon starts each book with a quick rundown of what the book is about.
The new silver edition of the NWT now does this too:
Even the book cover has an identical style, different only in colour.
It makes one wonder, if Jehovah really is leading the org why is he getting his ideas from the Mormons?
if you haven't seen it already, skip to 1:14:30 in lloyds video and watch the craziness unfold.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2y7f7-k5wo.
i'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.. they're digging themselves a great hole here, in about 30 years time they'll be claiming this video was a mere "speculation" and that "some people" got the wrong ideas..
My first thought was that little kids will be expected to watch this too. My nieces are 4-12yo, thisâll terrify them.
But then I guess thatâs their aim.
