  "outside of time" argument

  this is going to be very brief but a user recently tried to argue an argument that has already been refuted many times - the logic is somewhat sound but falls apart when the definition to the word used it looked and its usages in the bible.the word in question is "aionas" found in the scripture in question hebrews 1:2 .

  I calmly and respectfully discussed/debated the trinity dogma for over 20 years with someone who had been a trustworthy and loyal friend for over 30 years, until I felt that "flogging the dead horse" was serving no good whatsoever.

  On more than one occasion I suggested that we "agree to disagree" and that one day we'll get the truth. Nope!

  He couldn't let it go - he was on a crusade - and when I declined his offer to watch a 4 minute YouTube video of a Catholic priest trying to "prove" the trinity, my friend went totally ballistic - screaming & shouting at me, falsely accusing me of various motives for my refusal. Based on this, he ended our friendship.

  QUESTION: Why do so many people get bitter & twisted about a dogma which even the Catholic Church admits is an inexplicable mystery?

  If they can't explain it, "Christians" should leave it in the hands of Christ the judge. John 5:28,29, Acts 10:42, Acts 17:31, Romans 14:9, 2 Cor. 5:10, 2 Tim. 4:1, 1 Pet. 4:5, Rev. 11:18 & 20:12.

  The hatred which opposite opinions generate, reveal much regarding John 13:35!

  if it’s looking like someone may be disfellowshiped or announced they are no longer a jw and they don’t want to be shunned they just want to fade without being shunned - just say that would make me suicidal .

  simple.

  in the new shepherding book it says if they say that then don’t go ahead with it.

  For anyone wanting to fade as peacefully & trouble-free as possible, there are 3 key words to remember when any JW - especially elders - ask why you're missing meetings & field srvice: "Private & personal."

  Let them know know it's nothing you can discuss - except with Jehovah in prayer - thank them for their concern, and tell them that it's good to know you can call them if things change!

  Elders: "Are you refusing to talk with us?

  No, I just can't discuss things right now.

  Eventually there will be major plusses & minuses, but the Brexiteer's cries of "regain our sovereignty" ring hollow when the W.H.O.'s plans to introduce a global vaccine passport (as forced on E.U. citizens) on every country, appear to dismiss a country's sovereign will.

  You might be wrong SBF. I think it's the SNP's fiscal incompetence which insults our intelligence:

  If the 3 are coequal, (& God) why do people only have to get to know 2 of them, and not all three?

  John 17:3: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

  If they're all equal, (& God) how can someone be forgiven for slandering one of them, but not the other?

  Matthew 12:32: "Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."
