The Society is to be commended...
by cedars inwell, we spend enough time on this forum criticizing the society don't we?
i think we should even this out by commending them whenever they get something right.. for example, the cover of the 2012 yearbook is a vast improvement on the year before!.
graphics guy: so ed, what pictures do you want on our 2011 yearbook cover?

In search of a better word...
by okage inmy jw brother-in-law is 32. he admitted to me the other day he's been inactive since 1989 (pretty much right after baptism).
he stopped going to the meetings in 2003, and acknowledges he is a fader.. his reason for not attending the meetings was the lack of passion for jehovah exhibited by the elders and the brothers and sisters.
he attended four different congregations in the fort worth/haltom city area of texas.

Okage: What makes your brother in law think that Adams has God's holy spirit ? If the whole corrupt organization from the very beginning didn't have Gods spirit, Adams has as much holy spirit as my turds floating to the sewage plant. Like cedars said he is a raving mad idiot.

They just said at the WT study that the wife needs to suck it up in a abusive home.
by life is to short ini was beyond shocked at this i do not know why i am shocked and i am shaking as i type this.
i decided to tie in by the phone line today, i live on the west coast and they are only on paragraph 3 yet a "brother" who had been an elder for years and who's wife left him years ago he is in his late 50's now just commented about selma and he said 'that later in the study it talks about a study who's husband was abusive physically and verbally, yet when the study complained the sister studying with her reminded her of who was the christian and the study realized that she was in the wrong and so her husband came in the truth.
' he said it is such a good example of how we should be.. i truly feel like throwing up.

I was talking to my son in law who is not a jdub about this artical on Selma and Steve, and I told him that it would go right over their heads.
It amazes me that they can actually reason that that behavior is okay. I just can't believe that most sisters want to endure this kind of treatment.
It just shows all of us on this board how powerful this CULT really is. Men in this organization need to stand up and reach down between their legs and feel if they have a pair. They will find that the G.B. are holding them and squeezing them tightly, and they are submitting like a bunch of sissy's.
Wake up men and make a stand.

New US Government Petition re: Cults and Tax Exemptions
by mind blown inthis is on the official us government site.. note: someone was under the impression this was unconstitutional and it wouldn't pass, however, steven unthank replyed that tax exempt status (re: usc title 26 501 tax exemptions requirements) is not a constitutional right and can indeed be regulated by the us government through the irs.
freedom of religion does no mean freedom from tax.

How Does Your Family/ Friends Treat You Now That You Are Not A True Believer?
by minimus inhow do you feel about the treatment?.
-
Kojack57
Hi minimus!!! Well first off most of my real GOOD friends are NOT Jehovah witnesses, but are of the pagan persuasion, I say pagan in jest, because that is how we were taught by the BORG. I really view them as better Christians than jdubs. They make better friends because they don't judge you like jdubs do. As a fader, if I see a jdub they do speak to me and we hold pleasant converstions, but I can take it or leave it, it doesn't matter to me even if they don't speak.
My family members know how I feel about the BORG but amazingly they still talk to me. They just keep some distance from me and from time to time we talk. Hopefully, one day I can help them out of this destructive CULT.

WT is a cash cow for who? do the GB know they are frauds?
by thecrushed inas i've understood it the gb has taken a vow of poverty.
on jwn they are constantly accused of guilt tripping their subjects to keep distributing there literature to make converts in order to keep growing the number of donations which is a valid point.
i ask this question in all honesty and naivety to see where the truth of the matter lies.

Disillusioned lost lamb said it correctly, although the G.B. do not have real jobs per se they have the best life they could ever have.
In the book "The four presidents of the watchtower society" Judge Russell drank the best whiskey imported from Canada, fine clothing, the best food, (2) 16 cylinder Cadillacs which were chauffeur driven sitting in the back seat of one of his cars, in white linen splendor, driving down the highway during the depression years of the 1930s, watching dirty faced children alongside the road trying to sell turnips to buy milk.a mansion built for him under the guise of building it for Abraham, issac, and Jacob in California, called Beth serim which was his vacation house, while the bethelites Made 14 dollars a month as slaves to the watchtower.
All the societies presidents traveled and lived a life of luxury from book and magizine sales and donations from the brethren. They are still doing this down to this day. Rich people always will tell you they have no money so you wont ask for any. If you don't like how the are fleasing the flock, don't donate one red cent and your conscience will be quilt free.

The best way of dealing with this situation is getting in touch with Steven Hassan and those of us who know these individuals personally. Thereby isolating them for three days. Explaining what the BORG is doing to them. Mind control, information control, and show them the truth about the truth.
Then, freedom from the BORG will be the order of the day.

When I was in the BORG I rarely donated. I was a tight mofo. Thank God my money was not wasted on those asses.
