I preached the 'truth' to an active JW, her jaw is still on the ground!
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inwell, the best thing about being a fader is that you can still talk to dubs you meet.
they think they can us the contact to upbuild you and you use it to plant the seeds of 'truth' which is what i did in this situation.. last week when i was at the markets i saw a sister shopping and although i normally avoid dubs, i didn't this time.
i said hello and she was very happy to speak to me.

Going deeper into JW stupidities
by ClassAvenger inok, i am totally frustrated with these jehovah witnesses.
they drove me out of the limit today when they said that satan was not cast out of heaven and sent to earth until 1914. im like, "what the hell???
" what is their freaking problem.

Then try "how many angels fit on the head of a pin?"
"Why was Lazerus ressurected only to die again?"

What Bugs You The Most About Jehovah's Witnesses?
by minimus inis it the theology?
is it the smugness that many witnesses have?
is it the multitude of false prophecies and errors?

Personally I don't think one can blanket term all JW's as ignorant, it's a bit like saying all Angicans are homophobes. This could be the collective idicative, but on a personal level I think there must be a better description, as ignorant could be taken as synonimous with dumb, and I couldn't say each individual member is a dummy!

The Other People
by Gretchen956 ini had someone email this to me and thought it was hilarious.
i wonder how many other funny things there are out there like this one, from those on the outside.
not to mention this is a hilarious twist to scripture!

Mother Teresa's beatification- JWs and Good works
by pravda2004 inafter hearing of mother theresa's beatification today, which is a recognition of her tireless lifelong devotion to ministering to the suffering of others, i was wondering why the jws have no works of charity as a witness to christ's love for mankind.
is jw doctrine confined to the idea that all "good" public works should be in witnessing and proselytism alone?
with the amount of money the watchtower has, why is there no public witness of charity?

Englishman,
According to the WT Schwiezer wouldn't be going to heaven anyway, so I guess that comment is a negative double whammy.

Something to do with charity of a non-religious nature not being wrong, and could be supported as a matter for personal decision, but could take time and effort away from the bigger picture, which is God's Kingdom being the only true hope for mankind.
