they have been preparing everyone by way on tv and radio on the sexual abuse in the jw religion.
they had a small piece on the 6 o'clock news with a small interview with bill bowen.

recently i had a run in with some people from another board, that also attend this board.
in a search of my name on this site, i see that people (two weeks later) are still mentioning this and me.

I have said though, perhaps I did not have the right to push my views on others and much like the last time you mentioned something about me on Beyondjw ... you saw the end affect of a much larger picture.
If you wish to discuss the "other" board, I do believe it appropriate to discuss it on that board. As far as the end effect of a much larger picture, I had seen the entire picture before submitting my viewpoint. I was posting over there before you came along, and then a lurker at times throughout the last year.
Counterviews are what teaches anyone anything - they are necessary and valuable. I have never been opposed to a counterview - this wasn't about "counterviews". And you're right about another thing - sometimes one must look at the "bigger" picture.
It sounds as if you are going to be extremely busy with not only now a new baby, a tired mommy but an "inspired" journey as well. Setting up support groups can be a daunting experience - I wish you luck in your endeavors.

I don't feel this is the appropriate place to discuss this "situation", as very few here know what you are discussing Dragon. But I will say this, as I am the only person you mentioned by name in your post.
You hurt a few people with your words - I was by far not the only one. If you say I attacked you, so be it. I don't believe I did - my words will speak for themselves and I stand by them. I did not call you names, I did not swear - the most I told you to do was "stuff it" and that you were being hypocritical. I don't feel I was attacking you - I was defending the victims/survivors that constitute the majority of Silent Lambs. No one has ever said you didn't have the right to your opinion, or even to express it. But, persons also have the same rights as you, and should not be ridiculed or mocked because they have a different belief either - especially on something as emotionally stirred as child sexual abuse. You and I both know the "other" board was not a very hospitable place to even whisper the name "Silent Lambs". As I told you, my only purpose in any of those debates was to make sure that if there are persons who were in the same prediciment as I was a year ago, they would know there was a place created especially for them - a place where hundreds know exactly where they're coming from.
I personally could care less whether Dragon supports Silent Lambs or not - I just don't think it fair that you constantly ridicule & make light of what MANY persons are trying to accomplish with this organization - not just Bill Bowen. The "other" board gets many newbies - and certain posters there felt they might appreciate this organization. It wasn't just me Dragon - you hurt others too. The threads speak for themselves.
If you did apologize in this thread - there is no apology necessary. I said in the "where is Kenpodragon" thread that I hold no "ill-will" towards you. I would just like 1x for us to bring up Silent Lambs on the "other" board without you coming in and destroying them (okay, maybe more than 1x). If you don't agree with Silent Lambs - fine. Don't destroy threads by those of us that do.
Like I told you over there, until there is another alternative many persons still need this organization - some who don't even know about it yet. Some who happen to be lurking for the first time.

maybe you are remembered at most by your grandchildren, but then your presence in the universe is gone.. so, really, what difference does it make whether you die in your 40's or your 70's, your memory simply lingers another 30 years at most.

Then we'd have to remember the "slow fade" process too, wouldn't it just be better to take a look around you right now and realize how much you are loved - concentrate on that - giving back the love your given. Works much better that way & makes for some great memories!

Discussion With My Dad...Ended Badly.
by Valis insome of you may know that my parents were expected for "dinner" on thanksgiving day.
well i really don't think its going to happen now.
i called my dad last night becuase my mother, now visiting my kids in south texas and bringing them here to see me, said they had "stuff to do on thursday".

Hitting it ALL at once must have made it difficult. So many topics covered! (except the UN thing). Its amazing - they have answers for everything & it almost makes sense - until you look at it logically.
Its funny - I've never met an "Apostate" yet that didn't want just one simple thing - a normal loving family. And yet, we're the ones who are following "Satan", they by denying this are following "God and Jesus". I'll never figure it out.
I hope you are able to find a way to have a happy holiday regardless, and hoping your father changes his mind.

I have many small tokens & momentos, including letters & pictures of not only grandparents, but great-great grandparents. They are treasured by me and I will in turn pass them onto my children. I may have never known these individuals, but through their letters and photographs I feel connected to them.
