  i am writing this thread because i hope it fosters some positive communication although i may end up being deleted for it.. to start with a discliamer: i am no fan of stinkypantz posts - they just aren't that interesting to me.. that being said i now see sp was deleted.

  my first reaction to that was anger.

  sp posted stuff about being close to a nervous breakdown, wishing she could just "disappear" etc....she is obviously someone in pain right now.. we have been constantly censured about how this is a place of healing and we need to keep it that way for people who need healing, support and comfort.. so i only hope sp has been "temporarily suspended" (not deleted) for her own good and no because she pissed off some moderator.

  I have been here for 2 years now, and i must say, the site is changing, and has been for quite awhile.

  If I pulled threads out that were even a year-two old, I would say a good deal of them would be locked, or totally annihilated by todays standards, and that's where some of the problem lies imho. Its kind of hard to put the cat back into the bag, especially when it comes to "free" expressive speech. It seems that's what being attempted here, and I think that will be very difficult for many long time posters who were able for so long to express themselves without fear of reprucussion.

  It is becoming much more controlled, that is plainly evident. This place used to be at least a R rated site for the most part, with lots of PG threads. Lately, it seems the board is being pushed towards a G-rating. Some would say this is good for the sake of "lurkers" - but to those that would say this - exactly what were any of you reading when you finally decided to stay? I know what this place was like when I started, and making it into a totally G-rated site isn't going to make the difference for any JW's that wish to poke around.

  I'm used to being the little guy sitting in the corner that no one notices.

  Big Tex - to the contrary - I think everyone not only notices you, but looks to you as comfort, safe haven and a non-judgemental kind ear.

  You didn't say that you were having one SPm just what the symptoms were and how you would know.

  If you have to ask then you are most likely not having one. Your friends would know instead so you should as any offline friends you may have.

  She's asking here. Had you been reading about what's going on in her life, things she's said on this board, you wouldn't have said this. Maybe this thread isn't the place for you Simon.

  I always make hasty judgements, post my opinions on them and then spend alot of time eating a lot of crow. Very filling, yet low in calories.

  hey all, time for me to say goodbye to you for the time being.

  as some of you know, i moved to ohio 4 months ago with my boyfriend of 3 years, who pretty much ignored me the second we got here.

  well, we broke up a while back, had an awkward on and off thing going, and now it's finally done for good.
