i studied as much about different religions as i could and read every book available to me.

Hi again Fairchild.

Your comments about how terrible the world is getting to be. With so much suffering and wickedness, reminds me of myself when I was a believing member ot the jw's

I was scared all the time and feared the world in general.

Really if we look back in history, we are ALL better off today in many ways. In the past OLD folks had to depend on relatives or live a life of poverty. Now all developed nations have some form of Social security to help them.

We have much better medical help now. People are living longer lives.

There has ALWAYS been wars and rumors of wars. There have always been earthquakes and todays imformation tells us that they have NOT increased.

Even the wars of today are less bloody and fewer casualties especially among civilians, than in the ancient past especially.

ALL high control religions use this fear factor " a constant obsession on painting the world in general as an awful, dangerous, hateful, terrible place to have to live in.

Then of course, they have a way out of this fear "down the road" IF you follow our instructions.

Hello Fairchild,

Welcome to this forum. I am sure that by now you recognize that most of us on this forum are ex jw's and no longer active in the religion.

Some here after much study of the bible have come to have problems with the teachings.

Many if not more were severly damaged by the constant demands of the wbts and one way or another ended up disfellowshiped, then shunned.

Causing the breakup of marriages, families and much pain.

It may surprise you to discover that what the wbts looks on as going against bible principles is not always supported in the bible.

Regardless. you will find people here willing to chat with you on all the issues humanity faces and not dismiss you as a useless or evil person.

Anyone been in an accident before ?

Even using an attorney, does not guarantee the insurance company will pay.

My son had an accident and we were insured. Insurance Co. flatly refused to pay up.

Got an attorney and this idiot only called up the ins. adjuster and asked him if they were paying.

The adjuster said no and the attorney gave me a $300.00 bill. I refused to pay and went to another attorney.

He read the insurance policy "which the first atty. did not" and says they have no choice but to pay. I go back to see him next week and he is in some sort of "rehab hospital" guess his elbow wore out.

The Attorney taking his his place proceeds with the case and All med bills are paid and another $45000.00 settlement is achieved. Damned attorney kept $15000.00.

Never did pay that jerk the $300.00 and when I told him of the settlement he quit asking.

Then he runs for state attorney general and wins. Go figure.

The theme here is DON'T GIVE UP keep pressing the issue.

i place this in scandels and coeverups because there has been a bigtime coverup throughout the years on all aspects of rutherford's life.. it is high time for some light to be shown on him!.

When they predicted 1975, they kept right on milking the members for money, buying and selling land and buildings.

The president and others in this bank are either crazy or a part of the plot.

Who in their right mind would let 90% of their lendable funds go to ONE group or corp.

Diversifacation is one of the primary rules in lending or investing.

Me thinks I smell a stink.

what does it mean to be "inactive"?

does it just mean they don't go door to door, or does it mean they've stopped attending meetings too?

Tell him we miss his comments. By the way, we learned that to amuse himself, he was studying about astronomy.

Ya know, learning all about the planets and stars and MOONS.

We want to know all about the what he has learned about the planet uranus.

Do You Still Get Afraid or Panicky When You Meet Up With A Witness?

I don't get frightened or panicky. I have strong conflicted reactions.

Do I act friendly and speak to them.??

Do I return their favor and ignore them.??

Or do I say something like "f**k off and don't bother me??

Usually I return their "you don't exist" thingy and ignore them altogether.

While pointing out to my wife or friend "THEIR" unusual behaviour. ((Not mine.))

HI No longer alone one.

Several have said "do not take this to your parents,yet" I think they are correct and you will do better if you just work out your "own difficulties" at this time.

If it were me, I would include my wife in this and maybe see a counselor for some assistance. This is not going to be an easy time in your life.

But you WILL GET PAST all this. Many here have done so and you will too. You can vent all you need to do here. We will listen and support you.

You will also find many caring people willing to help you here. You are no longer alone in this struggle.
